Today --08/13/21 -- is the last day this century consisting of consecutive Fibonacci numbers. The next such date is January 1, 2102.

Not that anyone cares, but much of my research as a math professor was in topics related to the Fibonacci numbers. My most cited paper, and quite elementary at that, is on a relatively easy to prove property of the Fibonacci numbers modulo powers of 2.

I just passed that interesting tidbit on to my wife and she called me a nerd. How should I respond?

When will the next Friday the 13th consist of three consecutive Fibonacci number?
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Happy Fibonacci day, Eliot!. Thank you for reminding me.

Assuming dates are in month/day/year format, it has to be 8/13/xx21, and since days of the week "cycle" every 400 years in the Gregorian calendar, it would be Friday, August 13, 2421. (2121, 2221, and 2321 are on Wednesday, Monday, and Saturday, respectively.)

Using day/month/year, it cannot happen, as it would have to be 13/8/xx05, and years ending in 05 can have August 13 only on Thursday, Tuesday, Sunday, or Saturday.

Suspend her 3 days for an insult.

I don't believe in suspending for the truth.
