I know the money is in both the bag and the airline bag. The bag is old but kind of nice. the airline bag is in perfect shape. The clubs are just Service Merchandise I do not even remember the brand. I bought them when I was in management hoping to have some gold course meetings. Once I did get to play with a NYS Assemblyman. Hopefully I get 450 for all three plus assorted gold balls I still have.

At a garage sale in Rochester they had some clubs for $10. I ask the kid if he will take $8. He says "it says $10." I say "I can see that, I want to know if you take $8." He asks mommy and daddy and takes $8. I bought them as a "guest set" and used them once that way in Myrtle Beach for my dad. Sold them in AZ for like $15. Not a bad deal.

I will offer you $450 for the gold balls assuming they are 24kt and at least a half ounce.

I still have my clubs but have not used them in over 15 years. Really I should put them on craigslist and be done with it all.

I never even bothered getting a set - the last time I played was in the mid-1980s (and I have never played (a) more than nine holes at a time, and (b) on a course with a par greater than 65), and I was still living at home so I used my father's clubs. My drives tended to slice, and my short game was a disaster.

I left my clubs behind last time I moved. They weren't that valuable even new except for the TaylorMade driver. I stored many of my old golf balls in nearby ponds or the woods on various golf courses.

And I now own them! I'm easily over 1000 golf balls in my garage and basement. In addition to my score, lets say +13, I also have a golf ball score. Maybe an average round is lose 1-2 balls, find 10-12. I sold 15 for $5 at a garage sale this summer. (I gave them to the lady and she gave me back the vat plus a $5 bill!) So it was no labor and all profit......

I sold my golf clubs with crummy bag to a friend for $10. I probably could have gotten over $100.... but getting someone interested seemed charitable!

In the early 1970s we would sneak
onto the golf course after dark & fish balls
out of water traps. One time we got
over 300 in just one trip. Huge fun when
you're 22. In those days they had a
big barrel in the pro shop full of
used wood shafted clubs that people
had traded in. A couple bucks each.
Now they fetch big bucks on Ebay.

Pretty sure I sold a bunch of these at a yard sale for like $20.

Probably to BillRyan.

It's actually quite easy for most people to hit the ball straight at the hole.

If you use a croquet mallet!

It's putting loft on it that gets everyone in trouble. Of course getting the small ball in a tiny hole is another matter.

Why didn't the police wait till they had the black box data available to decide if any charges would be laid?

Did Tiger get his mulligan on this accident?

Depends on how tired you are, not the time. If he didn't sleep much the night before, he'd be pretty tired. Or he could have accidently taken double some medication.

Tiger Woods gave his first interview since the accident this week and in my opinion he's done with professional golf. He can't walk without help. He said he's never been in so much physical pain in his life as he is now. When asked if he'll ever play golf again, he didn't answer. He said his main goal is just to be able to walk again. Nobody in their late forties has ever recovered from an accident like this and been able to qualify for a major tournament let alone win one.
Mid-to-late forties is when most pro golfers hang it up, that's where Tiger Woods is right now. Jack Nicklaus won his last major tournament at age 46.

They still do not know why Woods had the accident other than he was doing twice the speed limit. He was not on drugs, he did not fall asleep. Something probably distracted him, he doesn't remember anything.

Tiger to return to the Masters.

Odds he will be confirming it officially.

Odds he will make it the first 36 holes.

Odds he will qualify to the top 50 in order to play last 36 final rounds

Odds he will win? (One ought to be able to make quite a bit a money thinking that will happen)

Disagree. He'll be back, even if it's only Masters and Open Championships (which I think he can enter until he's 60). It looks like he's out of PGA and US Open exemptions, although I wouldn't put it past the USGA to give him an exemption if he wants one.

Something else came to mind: what if Tiger tries to pull a Casey Martin and asks for a cart? Then again, what was Tiger's response when Martin asked for one back in the day?

Pro golfers know other golfers may have temporary or more permanent issues getting around the golf course for 4 rounds, so I don't think it's likely Tiger would be the only one who would benefit at times from a cart. So I don't think they will go for it. Because others could benefit as well and I don't think they want to open that option to everyone.

AFAIK, any kind of injury to the legs on down doesn't improve with walking. It does help build weak muscles, but that's usually not the issue with golfers.

I also disagree. His commitment to play through extensive rehab was remarkable, and for him in his mindset, a new beginning. After his play on day two and especially on day 3, he could have withdrawn and nobody would have been critical of that decision, but he persevered and struggled through a very tough round of golf on an incredibly difficult course making the cut and still not finishing last. What was witnessed was sheer courage and guts.

I agree with you, he will play some more competitive golf. I think his ego is too big to ask for a cart.

It is NOT his ego but his love and purity of the game that would not allow him the use of a cart. If you remember, he did use a cart in the father/son tournament earlier this year, but that was not a PGA event.

He won some pocket change.

$43,500 for 47th place.

He probably doesn't even consider doing an ad for that amount of money.

A month from today Tiger's leg will be stronger and less painful than it was today. Two months from today even better. He can play more tour level golf if he wants to. As far as the PGA and US Open, i think he still would qualify based off of his recent Masters win? If he wants to play in those events he will do so. I can't imagine that he WON'T play in all 4 majors this year.

Golf is in a good state now..... Scheffler/Rahm/Smith/McIlroy/Thomas/Morikawa/DeChambeau all are young and look like they will competing hard with each other for a few decades.
