I can't find the webpage with the criteria for quarantining based on area. It may have changed.

I 've been learning more and more as this becomes a company issue. A employment lawyer Is guiding us. our employees are trying to abuse the coronavirus situation to deceive employers and the govt for their benefit. I am leery of giving out our experiences because others may try to cause problems to the casinos. But the deceptions have a way of screwing themselves in the process. So we came out ahead. just more management Paperwork.

It isn't alot of money, no lawsuits. Human resource issues, alot of rescheduling and unemployment claims that are being denied bc of false claims. It is an employee scheduling mess. we ended up closing a location for 2 weeks bc our manager doesn't care enough to hire ppl. We can't find a manager willing to do this. I did scheduling for a year but I'm too busy backlogged on maintanence.

The laws are carefully thought out to prevent abuse.

I've heard of employees making more on unemployment due to the CARES Act than what they were being paid before. I don't blame them one bit for not wanting to return to work if they get get more doing less. It's unfortunate for the employers, but it shows how slow wages have been to rise for so many people.

The cares act is same pay for 14 days during quarantine. 40 hours paid leave for full time, avg wage for part time. what people are doing is telling employers that they have coronavirus when they don't to create a problem. So basically, they just want to sit at home while being paid. This may be why the casinos are regularly testing to avoid this problem. No one has showed us a positive test result, because they are lying. But they show us a negative test result when its time to come back.

I can't remember all the lies sent to workforce. My bookkeeper complains. They get denied mostly because they abandon their jobs. I work on sink drains every week because they don't know how to use a strainer.

I bought 1,000 disposable masks and gloves that the employees are not using. I installed partitions. I can't help them help themselves if they aren't afraid of the virus.

My manager almost cried bc she thought the employee was positive and infected her husband that was sick with the flu

AC business is way more easy than restaurant. I am working on a new freezer install, 9 hours so far. 75% complete.

No one wants to lose their job, no one wants to be fired, because it's the loss of everything. Maybe even family problems. So people have to find loopholes just to stay in their jobs, they buy codes to show them at work.

I had covid and I worked from home for 3 weeks, as I got better I returned to work. All expenses paid, but I guess I was lucky since I didn't have pneumonia...

Very lucky, when pneumonia is confirmed, usually people are still on sick leave for up to 2 months. It's very scary and hard to get rid of.

Well, It seems like you have kept yourself to hold. I didn't get you what you are up to? Just share what do you have. MGM Resorts declared on Monday that the COVID-19 antibody will be a condition on work for every salaried worker and recently added team members all through the United States. Every single fresh recruit, both hourly and compensation, who don't only work from home should give verification of immunization prior to starting work, powerful Aug. 30. The organization likewise takes note of that in a work o further increment inoculation rates among its representatives, MGM Resorts worked an inside "Show Us Your Vax" motivating force crusade. You are always going to get different types. When I was in pest control treating work areas some people asked not to put "that stuff" near their desk. Others slid their chair back and said, "GIVE ME A DOUBLE SHOT, I HATE BUGS!"

I have a casino interview this week, so far they said no vax or masks required unless the feds mandate it, which seems will not get past the courts. Will have to confirm as I do not want to be forced to use either as a condition of employment.

Good luck on your interview.

I just changed careers after 26 years in the casino business. It has been difficult starting over. From being one of the go to guys that knows almost everything about the business to being brand new and being the guy asking all of the basic questions and trying to understand a new industry.

That is the one thing I will not be looking forward to. Currently I can see thru so much. I tell newbies to look for something they find it just as I said it would be there then ask how on earth I knew that. I know I am many times as productive as I was even at 5 years in the business.

But I am tired of the chicken or feathers lifestyle. I figure at least I know a fair amount about casinos, more than I knew about the last 3 career changers I did. And it is just an interview, might end up as nothing. Just that I see the writing on the wall where I am now.
