the cause believed to be cyberbullying related to some reality tv show she was doing
shows the pain of it - this incident is extreme - I would guess many go into a deep depression when bullied and its not reported anywhere
before she died she posted somewhere:
"goodbye - I'm sorry"
so very sad

Lol. The cause of her death was not cyberbullying. She was an adult. She chose to kill herself and it most likely had to do with a mental health issue or drugs.

I wrote "believed to be" which means I didn't know for sure
this came from these sources:
The New York Times
The Washington Post
this is a direct quote from JapanTimes.co
"Based on evidence she had been victimized by cyberbullying, police have yet to determine the cause of her death on Saturday."
other sources saying basically the same thing inlcude:
deadspin.com..........and
Forbes.com............................................and several others
I was re-stating what had been stated by all of these news sources
you however, know this to be false
you say:
"the cause of her death was not cyberbullying"
I wonder where you get all your vast knowledge of this incident from
you state "it most likely came from mental health issues"
brilliant - it could be pretty much be assumed that anybody who commits suicide has mental health issues
that does not mean that an outside source cannot be a contributing factor to these issues
from the Washington Post:
"Several now deleted Twitter messages also showed images of slashed wrists, referring to hate messages on social media and saying she didn’t want to “be a human” anymore."

There is no such thing as "Cause of death - Cyberbullying. Surprise, surprise, I have intelligence and can think for myself, not just read rag articles and follow like a sheep.

right - I got you
you don't need to read anything
you 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 what happened without reading anything
because of your 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞
intelligent people don't read things

So you think there's an actual cause of death called "Cyberbullying "?

alright.....................you got me
I should have written "believed to have been related to"
I admit my choice of words was not great..................................I mean I'm not writing for a newspaper - this is just a gambling forum..................I don't have an editor to assist me
I'm not all that careful about my choice of words every time
I think it was pretty obvious what I meant even if my choice of words was not the best
so.....................I admit my error.......................a small one
how about you?
you ever admit your errors?
I don't see the New York Times and the Washington Post as being rags
they may be biased sometimes but so what - every newspaper is biased
you do see them as rags - good for you - whatever
While I agree, it is a tragedy that such a young promising female wrestler took her own life after being ridiculed online for an incident on a Japanese Reality show, this is not the worst thing to happen in wrestling. Hell, it's not even the worst thing to happen this month! Just a week earlier, a former WWE wrestler Shad Gaspard drowned in Venice Beach after he and his son were caught in a riptide and the lifeguards were only able to save one of them. Shad instructed them to "save my son" and gave his life as any loving father would.
The girl, Hana, was young and impressionable & put too much stock into what online fans thought. There was no indication that she was mentally or emotionally disturbed, but the actions speak for themselves and the damage is done. It doesn't absolve the perpetrators of feeding her insecurities, but it certainly shouldn't put them on trial for her death. This is NOT an episode of Law & Order: SVU or a wrestling story line, this is real life and real life is often cruel.
Had it read "Wrestler takes her life due to inability to cope with cyberbullies" would that appease both of you?
I generally do not think most of the Japanese female wrestlers are very attractive. This one was hot!

a person can pretty much be as nasty as they want on social media
you can call anybody any kind of name if that's your thing
but at least in many states if you threaten harm or death you can be charged with a crime
not saying this happened in this case
it's also possible a person could be sued for defamation based on social media posts
that's what the link says anyway
although I searched and couldn't find any instance of that
it may just be the law firm that is linked trying to gain this kind of business and that it's not really worthwhile to do this
on another gambling forum I participate in a person got into a dispute with another poster and pointed out to him that he had a gun
the other poster took it to be a threat and demanded that he be banned - which he was for a short time
the poster who felt threatened then threatened to inform law enforcement agencies about the post
nothing else ever came of it - now they're friendly to each other
shows how little these types of posts really mean much of the time

I was making the point in another thread that if you are going to assign a kind of libertarian perspective to this and say suicide is a choice, then you should be consistent in your perspective. So if a wrestler can't handle cyberbullying and commits suicide, that should pretty much be in the same category as somebody who can't handle economic duress and commits suicide. If you assign a certain heft to self determination for one, you should assign similar self-determination to the other. If you think it's all contextual, fine. If you think it's all internal decision, fine. Just don't waffle wildly back and forth.

She certainly was more attractive than the stereotypical female wrestler. That's not to say there are no other lookers from the Far East.

However, keep in mind she was a 2nd generation female performer in Japan. They generally focus on wrestling/athletic ability and in-ring performance over cosmetic appeal in Japan.
Whereas in North America and even Mexico, the primary focus is beauty and sex appeal over in-ring ability and athleticism. You can even see it in the hiring practices of WWE and AEW who put the spotlight on more aesthetically pleasing female performers like Asuka, Kairi Sane, Io Shirai, & Hikaru Shida.
