The Pentagon has identified $12.8 billion in military construction spending that could be used to fund the building of a wall on the southern border.
The money has already been appropriated but not spent and is targeted for various stateside military facilities. It's unclear which projects would be affected.

On one hand it seems they should use the same method as they did on the mafia. One family and one thing at a time. OTOH, these gangs probably do not operate at near the levels the mafia did. The mafia "graduated" from mostly street crime to infiltrating every legit operation they could. These gangs more seem to stay at the lower levels of crime, never moving up.
The other issue is it seems too often that the people in the gang riddled areas would rather have the gangs around than have the cops clean things up. While the minority want to live in better conditions, more don't want "whitey" arresting their people. While the mafia had their neighborhoods on their side, that was because the mafia kept petty crime out of their neighborhoods. Sure there was the every few years mob war, but old ladies could walk the streets in safety.

I'm taking that news with a grain of salt. I googled it, and not a single major news organization is reporting it. Not even Fox News or Breitbart seem to be covering it. Just the alt-wack websites like WND and Daily Caller and their ilk.

They apprehended 445 people in the first 6 months of 2018 and totaled 3,027 for the year (or maybe for 2017) for a total of about 1,500 Mexicans. Meanwhile, they apprehended 300,000 (people) on the southern border.

If the wall is built on the southern border the Mexicans will just fly over it to Canada and come from the North.
So you guys are prepared for a second border wall to be built doubling the cost?

Illegal crossings are up 60% on the Northern border this year. It's trending upward Bigly.
Btw, it only cost $300 for a Mexican citizen to fly to Canada and no passport is needed.

IMHO they thing that they will be called "racist" if they do not want to have open borders. Most are the type that if an illegal alien mugged them they would apologize for not carrying much cash and offer to go to the ATM so the mugging was profitable.

There is no right to apply for asylum, no right for anyone of any other nation to enter the country. Let them apply for asylum in Mexico, as they are supposed to if asylum is their real goal.
