Yep, spreading like a bad virus. Oh, and someone who tries to portray themself as progressive I'm surprised you use busses vs. the more up to date buses.

That is still just a bus and the plural is buses for sure in that regard.
Thanks, I will now have to rethink my options for data transfer.😀
That said there probably is a place for in sh&&holes like NY, Chicago, SF, etc for it.

I am just curious why it keeps people down in your opinion?
Do you count all forms of public transportation eg airplanes and passenger liners as well?
Only auto owners are higher in stature?
Considering the high price of auto insurance, gasoline, tolls, upkeep, and the car itself I would argue its cars that "keep people down"
At least most of my driving friends complain mostly about their driving bills more than any other cost and how they cant make ends meet

Because if you're trying to go somewhere, you should just pull yourself up by your bootstraps and go into debt buying a car instead of relying on the Nanny State to reliably and affordably take you somewhere, commie.

Auto ownership should be right up there with home ownership as part of the American Dream. The dream I grew up with under Presidents of both parties.
Striving to have an apartment and a subway or bus pass doesn’t sound as successful, does it?
And I say this with the full knowledge new car dealerships, their owners and management are some of the lowest life forms on Earth. Right up there with Nigerian princes.
But there is a feeling of independence that comes with ownership of both that is the embodiment of why we are the greatest nation on Earth.
And as I said, it may not be feasible in big cities for everyone in every situation. That said Trump isn’t the best President for everyone. But for most Americans working and wanting to succeed, he’s the best thing going.

Cars offer freedom. Home ownership lets one graduate from serf to at least peasant. Along the way, though, too many people let their cars and their homes own them and not the other way around. Simple houses became McMansions. People decided that a junker was not good enough. Now they take out on average 69 month paper when they buy new, never getting out from under.
Some of us don't conform and do get that dream. Looking at the renters below us and the McMansion owners above, wondering what each are thinking.
That said, I will keep my small place, keep my used car. Keep out of NYC.

Hmmm, ok I accept your answer.
I personally measure success by my happiness and my ability to purchase what will make me happy.
I personally dont have an interest in cars or owning a home so that would not make me happy.
I do enjoy reading a lot so much so I can do it on a bus.
I once asked a girl over a first date what her goals were. She kept saying to own a home. Didn't make sense to me. Thats not a life goal thats just something you would like to purchase
A life goal and dream to me is trying to generate a career. Becoming a doctor. Politician. Lawyer, anything
Those things will allow you to purchase a home hopefully.

Sometimes we are not as far apart in our beliefs as our posts would make one believe.
Sounds about right as Trump would probably throw children out of a plane to save his own skin. He'd only have regrets if he hurt his back doing it.

I’ll give you 3/1 odds up to $25,000 Pence isn’t replaced on the ticket if we book this week.
Of course if something happens health wise to Pence in the next year, everything is open.
So either the story is pure garbage, as we all know it is. Or you believe it and want an easy win.
So do you believe it or are you another brave guy that wishes things to happen to a guy (Trump) that for some reason risks your life choices?
And yea, I’ll still take your $10 bet at 3/1. Trust me, I’m good for it. Ask around if you are not sure.
Let’s make a bet based on your dreams or beliefs.
Quote: BozLet’s go poopman. I’ll send $75,000 to the Wizard this week, you send $25000 if you believe the WSJ that Pence will not be on the ticket with Trump in the general election next November. I’m giving you so many outs including Trump being impeached by then. It’s an easy $100k toward your retirement.
Let’s make a bet based on your dreams or beliefs.
Since its so rare a VP gets replaced for a re-election on a ticket wouldn't you be the one putting up $250,000 against Poopmans $75,000?

Slightly better odds for him under your proposal. But my offer is $75K risk versus his $25k. Do you think I should be risking $83,333.33 instead versus his $25k.
Otherwise your post makes no sense.

Whoops sorry
Saw an extra zero. Thought you wanted him to put up a quarter million not $25,000.
I was just pointing out the odds should be the opposite but its fine as you wrote it
Is this a bet I think I am sure enough to win even with better odds in my favor. No. Odds don't matter if you don't think you will win.

Agreed, but the joy you got from putting an editorial out there from some stupid F$#k made it all worthwhile, right?
My editorial is Trump will win again in 2020, as will most Americans willing to work to make their lives better when he wins,
But deadbeats can always dream Bernie will forgive them for a life of bad choices.

For the simple, a television movie, based on lies, becomes their truth.
MSM will always own the hopeless.

There are always going to be liberties with a docudrama
If I am watching a movie on the life of Abraham Lincoln I dont start questioning history because I caught a few inaccuracies in the movie.
We have DNA evidence today that proves without a doubt if someone committed a crime. Likewise it proves someone did NOT do a crime if no DNA is a match.
Thats the standard!

It would be a brilliant move on his part (even though that bar is pretty low for Trump). Haley on the ticket can only help him. He'd gain a decent chunk of votes simply because she's a woman, and she's definitely more likable than Pence.

I'd have to guess since I didn't see the show or follow the case. Usually they show people talking so you get different points of view. But you also can end up with discrepancies in accounts on some details even from the bystander/ observers, so anyone who wants to pick it apart could do so. Police sometimes make enough procedural mistakes themselves and anyone on the defense team can usually question the whole case because of some errors the police made. It works both ways. Like in the OJ Simpson case, Mark Furhman was a another whole problem for the prosecution. But that didn't make OJ guilty or innocent just made problems for the evidence in the whole case.
I noticed Tanko said the parents were present. But in my opinion, it means nothing unless your parent was your lawyer. Because your parents aren't trained to legally protect you like a lawyer. The detective said the film made a mistake about the DA ordering something. Well, whatever, still makes no difference to guilt or innocence.

Since OBL, we've spent between $4 and $12 TRILLION dollars to kill a few tens of thousands militants and a few hundreds of thousands of civilians. And Every. Single. So kill 200,000 foreigners, or educate 44,000,000 American children at a fifth of the cost?

We just need to convince the 1% that a highly educated lower and middle class will only serve to enrich their bottom line by introducing more intelligent employees into the workforce. Smarter workers = more efficiency + better ideas = more profits. Duh.

Disagree.

"Free College" is a silly idea. We already have too many people entering college. You get 12 years of education already, no need for 13-16th grade.
We need more people taking trades. More learning to drive trucks. More getting IT certs. We do not need more people taking useless majors. "Intelligence" does not only come from college. In fact, too many people lose their common sense in college and end up as drones.

I'm sure the Netflix series embellished. It was a dramatization, not a documentary. That being said, I just watched the interview with Detective Reynolds. When asked if there had been any reference to the jogger before Kevin Richardson said his scratch was caused by the jogger, Det. Reynolds said yes, there was. Raymond Santana had said before, to his partner, that "he already got mine", seemingly referring to raping the jogger.
Later in the interview, Det. Reynolds says that none of the 5 were able to "perform" and that Reyes was the only one that could, which was why only his DNA was found. But Santana says that he "already got mine", referring to his own ability to perform and Reynolds implied this made a connection to the rape. But if "he already got mine" and you're implying that's the connection, there's no DNA. To me, this is a contradiction.
I'll watch the confessions as time permits. From what I already know about them, the confessions didn't align with everybody's accounts of what happened. They offered contradicting details; who committed the rape, where it took place, and their statements didn't match physical evidence from the scene. And none of them confessed to actually committing the rape.
