US Government opposes breast feeding.

It was supposed to be a routine resolution at the WHO meeting.
Ecuador was set to introduce a widely popular resolution promoting breast feeding when the U.S. Delagate warned them that unless Ecuador dropped the resolution, the trump administration would unleash punishing trade sanctions and stop all military aid.
After Ecuador stepped down, another half dozen countries said they were also approached by trump people warning not to interfere in the sales of infant formula.
Russia then introduced the resolution declaring " we feel it wrong when a big country tries to push around some very small countries, especially on an issue that is really important to the rest of the world.
Incredibly, after bullying over a dozen allies over the issue, the U.S. supported and voted for the Russian resolution, almost word for word what the U.S. warned Equador not to introduce.
Lest we forget, Donny is on record stating that breastfeeding is disgusting.
Americas name again is sullied in the eyes of honest men, and the fools cheer.

The baby formula industry has always been super un-ethical.

Nestle has literally killed thousands of infants.

Im not surprised that the Trump administration is acting as an arm of that industry.

I would be in favor of as many children as possible being breastfed.

This happened "in the spring" and not one one article of the 8-10 I quickly glanced at had any comment from representatives of the Administration.

So...

--Did this go unreported at the time even though being a serious issue?
--Was it a secret the WHO kept from everyone?
--Did the Administration have any particular reasons for opposing it based on language of the resolution or anything of that sort?
--What is the reason for the story running today?

I am not saying the story is "false."
I am not saying that I don't support breastfeeding.

All I am saying is that we have some lazy reporting going on and being accepted as the "whole story" without enough questions being asked.

I'm fairly certain some of the members here were breastfed untill they were like 13.
