Since it is your buddy, I hope you gave him "roughly fair odds" of +200 ( in other words your buddy wins 2k or you win 1k) ?

Great value for you, I estimate about 35% +EV ( based on the public line).
Fresh hamburger
3 strips of bacon
Several slices of ham and spicy prosciutto
Cheddar cheese
Provolone cheese
Lettuce
Pickles
Mayo
Red onion
Buttered potato bun
Ice cold coke and some tater tots on the side
Quote: Marcusclark66I got suckered into that one!

Maybe, but if you can keep on getting even money on the favored team (first score) then you should be just laughing all the way to a win and free dinner (most times).

He’s my buddy, the same one my wife and I were with when we won the $65k +. I wrote about the four of us at the casino steakhouse that night with the celebration dinner. Great times.

Your sports wageriig results have not been good but you did have the right side on the bet.

Good. Then you will no longer be hijacking this thread with your dinner wager exploits.Quote: Marcusclark66The great billryan wins here!

the little juice oranges
I cut them into 4 sections and then carve out everything but the skin with a knife
when that juice comes flowing into your mouth -
it's heaven - better than any sweets IMO
.
In a round casserole dish, layer, in order:
1/4 cup Alfredo sauce
1/4 cup mozzarella or "six-cheese Italian blend" (mozzarella, provolone, parmesan, romano, asiago, fontina)
A soft taco-size tortilla (I use Mission low-card sun-dried tomato)
1/4 cup sauce
1 can of tuna
Layer some baby spinach leaves
3/4 cup cheese
Repeat tortilla, sauce, tuna, spinach, cheese three more times
Finish off with a fifth tortilla, 1/4 cup sauce, 1/4 cup cheese
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes
Top with 1/4 cup Parmesan; bake another 10 minutes
Usually, I eat 1/3 of it on the night, and refrigerate the rest for leftovers
None of my usual Waffle Hice made the list. ;)
by chance, I just found out something I didn't know about coffee - which I truly love
you can make instant coffee by grinding coffee beans until they're very fine
I'm going to buy some high quality beans and try it - if it sucks I only lost a few bucks
I stopped brewing coffee about a year ago, too much cleaning necessary - found a couple of great foreign instants
.
I give the Chinese credit - they're masters at making food flavorful
it may not be healthy - but so what - neither are burgers and fries
you can get an 8 pack of tasty ramen for $3.99
yes, I know it's not healthy - but if you eat it just once a week no problem
for fifty cents you get half of your dinner___________amazing
nobody can match the Chinese IMO__________nobody
.
Except ramen is Japanese.Quote: lilredrooster______________

What are some brands you like for instants?
Starbucks via is decent but expensive in stores, I just get it with comp dollars from casinos and use it when camping or at hotel rooms with bad/no in room coffee.

I love Juan Valdez instant which is from Columbia
and Maxim White Gold - which is 3 in one - a little bit of cream and a little bit of sugar is in the packet - from Korea
I mix them together - white coffee is roasted differently and has a lighter color
and re my post on ramen - ramen is from both China and Japan - see link

I think I recall being a bit surprised at Valdez when I tried it. Comes in a glass jar? Was pretty inexpensive as well.
Instant ramen, the ramen that comes in bags and cups, and which I'm pretty sure was the ramen you were referring to, is japanese.Quote: lilredroosterQuote: mcallister3200Quote: lilredrooster___________

I bought some high quality Starbucks Sumatra beans and tried it.
the experiment was a success - it was very, very good
you have to grind the beans for a long time so they become very fine and will dissolve - and the water should be totally boiling - scorching hot
the grinder got real messy, but that's a small thing
.
As far as the coffee discussion. I am not a coffee snob. Virtually never drink it hot. Use a Keurig and put in a Wegman's Dark Roast. Put a large glass filled with ice, and only use the small (4oz?) button. Add a tiny bit of half and half. Sugar free, and very few calories from the tiny amount of half and half.
When going out with friends to a Starbucks, I get a doubleshot of espresso, and ask for a side cup of ice. I then add the same minimal portion of half and half. Slightly better than my home concoction.
chicken kabob platter from a Middle Eastern joint - very flavorful - 5 star
the tzatziki sauce rocks - like totally
the pic doesn't show it but it also came with beans

this is the worst food I've ever been served in my life
cream chipped beef on toast - it was served to me at a summer camp when I was a kid
the counselor said (I don't know if it's true) that it's a staple in the Army
he said that there they call it S.O.S. - which stands for sh** on a shingle
really, really bad stuff

As a kid we grew up eating that. It is not my favorite, but I also don't think it is terrible.
He also made a mixture of canned tuna and mushroom gravy, served on dry toast.

I much prefer it with ground beef instead of chipped beef.
Then, it's basically an extremely mild biscuits and gravy (with deformed biscuits).
Today went to Italian. Ordered Cioppino. It’s always been served in a clearish broth base. Today it had a ton of delicious chopped tomatoes that it almost was a tomato sauce. Mountains of clams, mussels, shrimp and spicy sausage over the mountain of pasta. I ate as much as I could stuff in my mouth and had at least a pound of pasta left over for breakfast tomorrow.
I bought the highest quality and most expensive ground beef my grocery offers - they labelled it "steak burgers"
I broiled my burgers seasoning them with just salt, pepper and onion powder
they were great_________they crushed any restaurant burgers I've ever had
.

Yeah….if you need that combo, there might be a good chance you’re one of either an alcoholic, caffeine addict or both.
Lousy this time: beef was tough (spit it out), and they'd substituted thigh meat for breast meat in her chicken Pad Thai.

I'm not a tremendous fan of fast food - and I'm not crazy about Popeyes - their chicken is tasty but it's too greasy
but I give them credit - to me, their red beans and rice is very unique side for a fast food joint and it's really good
it's a little bit heavy but so what - you're almost never going to feel something is perfect - 4.5 stars
