This is dinner. Wife said it was $59 which I don't know if that is good or not.

So far we have had the bacon wrapped filets, and they were average. We also had the pork chops that were very good.

That doesn't describe it that just tells you what it is. If you've never seen it before you would have no idea what that means. The whole point in describing food is to assume that the other person doesn't know what you're talking about. Why would you describe the Burger King Whopper, everybody in the world knows what it looks like. That's why smart restaurants put pictures on menus and even the high price ones are starting to do it.

I pan-fried a pound of ground chuck and added six ounces of ricotta cheese and a generous amount of parmesan, while cooking a pound of rigatoni. When the pasta was cooked, I spooned it from the water pot to the frying pan and let the dish simmer for about half an hour so most of the sauce burned off. Then I threw in some olive oil and let the whole thing blaze away for two minutes on high, whie stirring and adding more cheese. It's easy to prepare, and is done in about forty minutes with very little prep or cleanup.
I'd prefer to use ochi de lupu noodles but they are unavailable here.

These showed up today. Each bottle makes 35 cups of iced coffee. I've only had the cookie dough so far, and it is fantastic.
You add one teaspoon to eight ounces, pour over ice and add some flavor

You do realize that with no description of the item and no picture we have no idea what you're talking about. Bottles of what. What does cookie dough have to do with anything.

I spend at least an hour a day on YouTube watching food videos and this guy is my absolute favorite. Been watching him for years. He has two channels and over 15 million followers. He's a former Minnesota fat kid who moved to Asia 20 years ago and he's built his channels just on the sheer strength of his personality. He has his own production crew that he takes with him everywhere, this is not shot on a GoPro which so many channels are and it makes a huge difference.

I attempted to make Steak Milanese tonight, but the experiment was a bit of a failure. Once the meat hit the hot oil, the coating made an unscheduled separation from the beef. It reminded me of peeling stucco off a house.
In effect, I had fried beefsteak with a side of fried batter. Not a complete waste of ten ounces of ribeye, but it was close.

Sounds like it was too hot, or the meat was too thick. If the coating cooks too fast the water comes out and it shrinks quicker than the steak does.

No there's a slight difference, chickpeas and garbanzos aren't exactly the same.

No guy ever paid $300 to have a garbanzo on him.

There's an easy way I like to prepare chickpeas: soak them in water overnight like other beans, then shake them with a little olive oil and Old Bay seasoning, then cook them in the rotating basket of an air fryer. It'll take a long time and make a mess of the air fryer, but they come out really good.

The meat has to be completely bone dry before it goes in the batter. You have to pick each piece up with a paper towel and go over it to get any moisture off of it. If you don't the batter will come off when you fry it. You have to do this whether you dredge it or put it in a liquid batter.

I was reading last night a guest stayed at aria in las vegas and got one of the bottled waters from the minibar in his room. He stated the charge was $26. He was glad he didn't drink 2. Someone then posted he could have went to the starbucks at the aria and got one for only $7.50 Can anyone confirm that's what a bottled water from the in room mini bar costs?

Today was Elon musk's and my birthday. I'm including a picture of my birth date so I can show that I'm telling the truth about my age unlike some other people around here. A few family members came over and I cooked salmon fillets in a aluminum foil boats which I have never done before and it worked out really well. All the oil from the fish stayed in the boat and it cooked in about 12 minutes on a 650° charcoal grill. I also put up a squirrel feeder today with cracked corn and got my first visitor this evening.

SOOPOO has lost a boatload of weight. 99.9% likely a Mounjaro effect. Wife said I look frail. I actually feel better not carrying around all that fat I wasn’t aware I had. When I weighed 180 I looked in the mirror and saw a big belly of fat. Not as big as many, but fat. But seemed ‘normal’.

So combining my diabetes and vast weight loss (down to 137 lbs) wifey made me go to nutritionist. So breakfast was just Monk’s bread (wheat) toast covered by an avocado instead of butter. Dinner last night was whole grain pasta with a bolognese sauce and lots of Parmesan cheese.
Small salad with it.

I want a big bar of Hershey’s chocolate with almonds.

Dinner last night for me and the dogs was shrimp and crab stuffed flounder topped in Alfredo sauce, with fries, garlic loaf, chicken tortilla soup, and Tiramisu. I ate about a third of it and the dogs got the rest. The wife had Coconut and Macadamia nut crusted Grouper with veggies and salad. The dogs got half of the grouper.

Mounjaro, containing the active ingredient tirzepatide,
is primarily a once-weekly injection used to improve
blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes,
along with diet and exercise. It is also known for its
significant weight loss effects

And your doctor is just fine and dandy with you losing 43 lb and looking like a human skeleton on this drug in your mid 60s? Okie dokie

So, let me get this straight, on June 26, 2025, you were 75 yrs old and on June 25, 2024, you were 74 yrs old. How in the world could that be? Got me puzzled probably others too.

Grilling outdoors and sharing a meal outdoors too no doubt. Can not imagine sharing a meal indoors with the abundance of kitty litter stations and the pungent indoor atmosphere.

Does Mepps still offer 25cents for squirrel tails as long as you sign a waiver stating that you used the rest of the animal to eat? You could cook squirrel at 650 for 8 minutes too and it would still be too long. Slammin Salmon ya just need a few minutes, then a flip and a few on the other side. Especially at 650.
