Quote: bobbartopSeriously, who would you vote to be a nicer guy and most trustworthy of anyone in the entertainment business than Bill Cosby, back then?
The guy could have been president.

I still love his old standup. Some of the first comedy I ever listened to.

I guess this is Trump, but Clinton and Reagan both might have been rapists too. Reminded my od this very provocative take on the matter.

"These two people, Clinton and Cosby, are emotionally infantile--they're engaged in a war with female power. It has something to do with their early sense of being smothered by female power--and this pathetic, abusive and criminal behavior is the result of their sense of inadequacy."

I guess some only defend their favorite politicians when it comes to rape.

Even trumpsters can only bs so much. These days, they need it all to save their noble leader.
Besides, has Rush or Sean weighed in yet? Polly's waiting on their crackers.
People who will use them to mass murder innocent people should be banned from buying them.

I think I see a note of sarcasm in your reply, so I will cautiously give a tentative high five. ;)

I know, right? If only they could take a lesson from all the fine, morally upstanding folks in the conservative media, we wouldn't be having these problems.

Look at Brokaw. First he's outed for making
up stories about his life to embellish his
cred. He gets kicked off the network and
demoted to the dungeon call MS, and now
he's going to lost that gig too. If you made
this up in a book nobody would think it
credible.

I think you're thinking of another former network anchor, Brian Williams.

SO now, you know, if you left any DNA at a crime scene your relatives info may give you up even if you never contributed to such a site. Which I think is the interesting news.

I was in Calif then, scary it was. Turns
out to be an ex cop, in his 70's now.
I'm curious if he really stopped all these years, or just got better at hiding victims.
This is great news for the Nov elections.

Not really. Bill Cosby is a rapist. Trump pays women to have sex with him.

No. He paid them to shut them up. Maybe Cosby should've done the same.
Quote: IbeatyouracesNo. He paid them to shut them up. Maybe Cosby should've done the same.
Actually both men paid women to shut up
Both had depositions that are coming back to haunt them

There are still at least 2 people out there who accuse Trump of rape, so maybe not much difference.
Knee slap, yeah, doesn't that happen to everyone? Ha ha ha ha.
Happens to everyone, I tell you.
He dropped a notebook indicating in the sixth grade he was subjected to "field trips that were planned and then cancelled", so if I was on the jury I'd give him a pass. I hated that stuff too.Quote: rxwineInfo about

What he (Cosby) has been convicted of, and he (Trump) has not even been charged with. Unless I missed something NO prosecutor has found ANY convincing evidence that Trump has committed a crime, or he would have been charged, correct? I believe Cosby is guilty of sexual assault. I believe Trump has had extramarital affairs, and paid to have them covered up.
Quote: beachbumbabsThere are still at least 2 people out there who accuse Trump of rape, so maybe not much difference.
Oh. In what jurisdiction has he been charged? Are you saying there is EVIDENCE to support the charge? Does the prosecutor in that jurisdiction believe Trump or the accuser? And that is just 'charged'. Let alone convicted.

There is no convincing evidence in either case. Both are nothing more than "he said, she said."

I like how you keep ignoring the facts in these current events stories....
The judge delayed the CIVIL case against Cohen and Trump so that the CRIMINAL case could play out unhindered.
What's happening is still bad news for Cohen and Trump, so I don't know what you're getting all excited about.

Of course he has. He beat the smartest
woman in the world, the poll winner,
the one who had the lock and was such
a shoe in to win she didn't even have
to campaign in places like MI and WI.
He beat the person who 'deserved' to be
president, who had it bought and paid
for.
That's the one and only 'crime' he
committed and he'll pay for it till
2024..
Quote: SOOPOOOh. In what jurisdiction has he been charged? Are you saying there is EVIDENCE to support the charge?
Evidence, they don't need no stinking
evidence. We were taught in the Clarence
Thomas witch hunt that 'just the accusation
is enough', we don't need to bother with
'evidence'.
Quote: IbeatyouracesThere is no convincing evidence in either case. Both are nothing more than "he said, she said."
I disagree with you
The cosby prosecution based the opening of the investigation on BILL COSBYS DEPOSITION ADMITTING HIS ACTIONS from the civil suit of the defendant
Thats more like "she said, he agreed" to me

I am wondering if Bill had said" I plead the fifth" would he have even been found guilty today. :/
Quote: NathanI am wondering if Bill had said" I plead the fifth" would he have even been found guilty today. :/
Thats not an option in a civil suit deposition
He has to answer or be found in contempt when a judge orders him to answer
Its precisely why michael cohen had to go tp court to assert the necessity of pleading the fifth in the stormy daniels civil suit. The argument being the ongoing criminal trial would have his 5th amendment rights violated if he was compelled to testimony in the civil deposition
In cosbys case he was assured by the DA that no criminal charges would be brought so he was deposed under oath
The new DA said that agreement if it existed was verbal and not something his office would be held too. That also went to court but Cosby lost due to other evidence as well as that lack of written agreement

I do not understand how you can be compelled to confess in a civil suit, and then that is turned around and used as criminal evidence.
