I don't see it messing with anyone's money quite yet although it may have the potential. It could be this will slow down all the sock puppet accounts posting stuff about lawyers. That was getting a bit old. Maybe the person creating those accounts will realize it is time to move on.

I agreed there are some lines that shouldn't be crossed on the forum. (I'm not saying one has been) Especially messing with peoples personal life.
Im not even sure why we think this is where this person i'm talking about works. Did someone match his number to this place or something?
I have no sympathy for the person who we suspect works at this location. He is the number one suspect in spoofing phone numbers and poorly impersonating forum members. He is a known mega Liar and a bet welsher.
If this is in fact him and it is where he works, I hope he proceeds with caution from now on. I would treat this like a warning shot across the bow.
I would apologize, make hole on my bets and hope I was forgotten.
I'm not sure what the laws are concerning spoofing and impersonation or perhaps just crank calling. There's probably not much there, but if I worked for a company or did business with the state and I dealt with other peoples safety, I wouldn't want people to know just how crazy I was.
Honestly given the details on this forum alone, would you want a guy like this providing safety to your community?

If he continues to disrupt this forum, I say he's fair game and maybe someone should call his boss and tell him what this guy is doing on company time with a company phone and computer. That's right his boss.

I was being harassed continually by a certain member with multiple ID's who continually posted about lawyers and gambling, even using my screen name in thread titles about such. I even have received phone calls on my cell phone from weird numbers in the midwest/northern midwest. Does anyone care that I have been harassed?
Also, I have made no mention of anybody's screen name herein.

I agree. It's not.
Stop the harassing calls to his business now, please, you're putting the board at risk with this juvenile line of attack. He called to complain, legitimately so in my opinion. I don't care if he's a former member as opposed to one in good standing; this gets into the area of exposing the forum to legal action.
Thread closed. Links taken down. I don't think Ace technically has broken the board rules, but his intent in the posting and his ingenuous responses is clear, so any further activity in that direction will be considered as deleterious to the existence of the forum, and he will be suspended.
If we do get a new rule out of this, along the lines of not "messing with someone else's money", I will support it to the fullest.
If ANYBODY should understand how harmful this kind of thing can be, it should be you, Ace. I'm really disappointed in you.

When he called to complain about the phone calls, he also swore he has not been the source of the multiple postings that match back. He is having his account looked at to try and figure out what has been going on, but he was emphatic that it wasn't him posting. He thinks his IP is being spoofed by someone who wants to escalate the problems here for whatever reason. He says he has no reason to attack you and hasn't been doing the postings. Make of that what you will, but that's what he said.
