Sometimes when I'm staying at a casino for a couple of days and re-park my car several times it gets a little confusing keeping track of where it's parked now. Thankfully this has happened at casinos where the parking structures weren't endlessly huge.
I use rental cars on occasion. In the last month I rented a chevy, black. It looks like most other midsize cars. And, this one didn't have one of those keychain alarm thingy's. It was near panic. I started to write the location down, such as C3, row b? Most people now have intelligent phones, if you know how to work them, I suppose you could "enter" the location.
I traveled so much, once with the shades on the rv drawn, I woke up and didn't know what town I was in until a train honked, lol.
Quote: Baccaratfrom79Remembering back at AC. A time or two forgetting which garage I parked the car in. What a chore to check all the garages where I played. Am I the only one this happened to??
Yea used to happen to me fairly often. Often I will stay there a few days on my days off , and I usually just park my car wherever it is convenient first or wherever I am meeting somebody , , (which may be different than where I end up sleeping, and spending much of my time). And, I am often intoxicated much of the time which makes it blur together more.
Now I just try to make a note on my phone or write a physical note and put it in my wallet, before I leave my car so that I remember. And, more recently, I tend to park in the same casino anyway because of free parking so its not much of an issue anymore.
If you need a have a flat tire or your car won't start, transportation will gladly assist you. You'd be surprised how many cars don't have automatic headlight shutoff.
Quote: 1BBThe casinos in my area are very large and have several garages. People losing cars is an everyday occurrence. Pick up a house phone and call security. They will drive you around until your car is found and broadcast it to all security personnel. It happens so often that I don't think they even joke about it anymore.

I've had security help me in casino garages twice. Both times in AC. Once I was driving my dads truck, and being unfamiliar with it, I left the lights on. They were nice enough to jump it for me. Another time I had a tire go flat in the garage (i'd run over a screw on the way in). They filled the tire for me and recommended a garage where I could get it fixed for $10. Both times they were extremely helpful, and responded quickly. The guy who jumped the car for me, said they do it a dozen or more a day, just part of the job to them. He refused a tip too.
It's easier to just take a photo of the nearest location marker using your phone.Quote: GandlerNow I just try to make a note on my phone or write a physical note and put it in my wallet, before I leave my car so that I remember.

When people are trying to get to their favorite machine or table, that's the last thing on their mind. Don't dare get in their way. :-)
