Not only did I watch the original airing, but here's some trivia: the first time it aired, the closing credits showed the regular cast taking their "final curtain call" with MTM herself introducing them. IIRC, when CBS repeated it, and every time it has aired in syndication, they replaced it with the "normal" closing credits background shots and music. (The Bob Newhart Show did something similar, but they just showed the cast while the theme music played; this was kept in syndication as well.)

I'm not sure which version Comedy Central had; another closing credits syndication change (in the episode where Lou and Ted team up on betting on NFL games) removed MTM's dialogue over the narration (along the lines of "If the Steelers win the Super Bowl tomorrow, we hope you enjoyed this fictional story - if, on the other hand, the Vikings win, remember, you heard it here first") - CBS included it in its repeat, although a voiceover announcer talked over it (almost certainly intentionally), and CC included it as well.
