Just called a friend in S.F. and he suggested me to go help him to start a restaurant in Vegas. I found an ad online. It is cheap $25,000 for the sales price. The address is East Craig Road. 40 seat dine in only. Any suggestions or idea please from L.V. locals. Thanks

P.S. I googled the restaurant online. Outside looks good and it is a major road.

I ain't local but:
A major road can have traffic flowing too fast:
NLV is a high crime area and far North LV is full of empty buildings;
If there ain't no video game license I wouldn't touch it;
How long is lease for?

Good luck.

I dont know yet. I just found the place for sale. The price is very attractive. $23,800. Rent is cheap and seatings are good. 38. It seems to me the existing owner does not know what she is doing. Pasta and Chinese food. I doubt ant Italian will go to a Chines place for pasta. I know restaurant very very well. So I think this location has a lot of upside. With a limited budget. This is a good start. I plan to turn into Chinese and Japanese quick eat. Like combo and bento specialist.

Is that how you got your handle? Fast food? ;)

Like FleaStiff, I'm not local but I think you should go for it. Don't let the neighborhood scare you. Everyone knows that the best food is in the hood.

#1 concern is safety. Do you think I will be robbed or shot in this neighborhood? I plan 1100am -1100pm daily. Dine in and pickup. delivery depends on the neighborhood. If it is bad, then dont bother. I knew North Vegas is a bad area but someone says some streets are good. is that so!!!

Speedy, I think you better go take a look in person. The last time I was on East Craig, several years ago, I considered it unsafe.

Of course not. Your maintenance guy should have experience with painting over graf every morning. Or, better yet, hire some locals to do some "creative signage" for you. Best of luck.

Too good to be true. I've watched enough Bar Rescue to know something you Don't know is too big to buy this place. I have heard there are some major scams involving Chinese restaurants getting huge loans from the SBA then walking away. Then they just get another loan under new identities and do it again. You wouldn't want to be left holding the bag.

I will check in to that but thanks.
Usually buying a business, the previous owners loan does not affect the new owner except for the equipment part. the lawyer will make sure it has no lien on it.

Dont worry. If I ever open a restaurant in Vegas and I can call the shot. Every REGULAR member of this forum can come to have ONE free meal. (food and non alcoholic beverages only). make sure you TIP. Hahaaa.
