U.S. Sen. John Ensign, the pride of Nevada (not really), managed to get off a good line in those hearings with Goldman Sachs executives. Did anyone catch it?

Sen. Claire McCaskill commented that pit bosses in Vegas have more oversight than the U.S. financial system, which has become a casino.

Ensign said the good people of Nevada would "take offense" to the comparison. He added, "In Las Vegas, most people know that the odds are stacked against them. They play anyway. On Wall Street they manipulate the odds while you're playing the game."
