Who would you rather have as a father, Cliff Huxtable or Al Bundy? Why?
Me and my buddies had an interesting conversation about these 2 iconic TV dads. :)

Well I mean Al is funnier. But he was a shoe salesman for crying out loud. Cliff was a big time doctor who's wife was an attorney. Much more +EV with Cliff.

Totally agree, although it sure would be a hoot to hang out with Al every day. lol

Watched the Cosby Show as a small kid and even back than hated the pretentious arrogant prick of a dad. I always wished the kids would just once stand up to his pompous douchebaggery, but alas, they never did.
Gotta choose Bundy here. But wouldn't want Peggy for a mom either, making salad while smoking and all...

Al Bundy for sure. The Huxtable parents had major sticks
up their asses as far as their kids were concerned. I hated
my parents sticking their noses in my biz when I was a kid
and Al Bundy would never do that.
But it was different in the 50's when I was a kid. Buzz will
tell you parents didn't give a rats ass what you were doing
as long as you weren't doing it in front of them. Children
weren't the little darlings they are today. If you lived thru the
day and your parents only had to see you a couple times,
that was fine with them. And us too..

Al Bundy. If Cliff Huxtable was my dad, I would always wonder why my mom remarried a black guy.

I'd settle for being adopted at 16 by the Bundy's
I'm sure Kelly would be a lot more than a sister.
Although I'd probably have to avoid being alone with Peggy.
