Sue for $100K, hope to get $25K and it probably wasn't
even that much in real damages.
lol
It says Wynn filed a lawsuit for more than 10k. I don't know how these things work, is the number confidential and we only know it's over 10k? Or does that mean they're only trying to recoup 10k of the supposed 100k in losses?
Unless he damaged an exterior window (high cost to fix), I highly doubt you could do six figures' worth of damage. poidh

IANAL, but I think the value of the suit dictates the court with jurisdiction, and the type of trial. Damages in excess of $10,000 is probably what's needed for a jury trial.
The clerk and hotel appologized profusely and comped his whole stay.
Quote: kenarmanAlthough it was not even close to a high roller Vegas suite my brother trashed a hotel room once. Everything that wasn't bolted down went out the window. When he woke up on the floor in the room the next morning he went out a back door unseen and got cleaned up. He then came in through the front and went to the front desk saying he had stayed elsewhere for the night and had lost his key. They gave him another key and he went up to the room opened the door and came running back to the desk yelling and screaming about what kinda of place were they running. Grabbed the clerk and physically hauled him up to the room to show him the shape it was in.

It was stampede weekend and the streets were full of drunks all day and all night. The room was on the back of the hotel but not much got noticed then because the whole town was a gong show.
Lesson: don't throw beds out of windows.

hotels have tons of employees and stuff gets noticed,
even in the back. Something ain't right.
Stampede is in Calgary, which is not in - or really even near - Vegas:-)

I thought it was a Vegas story. Canada? probably true,
you can kill your mother in Canada and they won't
notice for a week.
