I did my part but Obama still won......
To be more serious we do have the most anti-business potus in history. Who is going to start or expand their business when we have leadership that keeps calling for more taxes and more regulations? Say I want to start a small business and put on a few low skill workers. A 20% hike in minimum wage was just called for and then tells me I have to buy an "approved" health care plan. On top of that he wants carbon taxes which will raise all of my costs.
And in reward I get to be called greedy and selfish?
We need another Calvin Coolidge!

I would slash government payrolls. In the State of Illinois there are roughly 12,000,000 residents, roughly 125,000 work for the State. Of that 12 million, only about half, maybe less, work when you factor out kids, seniors, stay at home moms, unemployed etc. That means roughly 1 in every 50 people in the state with a job works for the state. Considering that government employees are tax consumers and not tax contributors, I cannot envision a scenario maintaining a workforce that large, with the benefits package my fellow Illinois citizens bestow upon their families where Illinois could ever think about balancing their budget without fudging their numbers somehow. The Federal Government is the same way. Limit the size of government, eliminate the red tape, make government efficient and watch the private sector thrive.

We should follow Obama's lead and shut down
all the National Parks, like he shut down the
WH tours. This will help pay for all his vacations
and golf outings.

Yes, maybe he can throw 20 bills out of Air Force One, that dude loves being seen in, on, or around that plane.

I don't mind when the President goes on vacation. Heck I would be all for awarding Congress with 365 days of vacation a year. Less time for them to discuss new ways to screw us out of our money.

I would subsidize or incentivize exporters to get the trade deficit down first. Tax importers and clamp down on loopholes by the way of shell corporations. It is so stupid to own two companies, one of which pays the other at above market rates while creating a deduction for the first. All of these will never happen in this decade or next. Though if Jeb Bush was elected, it would be cool if we invaded our own country and bring democracy and freedom here.
