2012 REALLY STARTING TO SUCK

Focus group 1 and Wiz of V convention both a blast. Then a heart attack for me. And a urinary tract infection goes septic on Josie.
But by last night Josie was still in ICU, but stable, just have to wait and hope no permanent organ damage. Will not know for a few days. I toss and turn on couch in room, Morbid Mary Jane, my red headed daughter, reminded me earlier than when everything looks good, bad stuff sometimes happens.
3 am , Josie thrashing in bed, monitor horn blasting, red lights flashing. DAMN.
Luckily Josie had woke up, had no idea when she was, and so scared hell out of her and me.
Just left her sitting up in chair and eating breakfast. Thanks for everybody's prayers and thoughts . and I do mean THANKS !!!!

Good news. Josie leaving ICS as I type this. Be in hospital a few days as labs trickle in. Happy Days are here again !

Just got home from hospital. Thanks for kind thoughts from everybody. I used to be a tuff guy till all this shit happened.

2013 has got to be better. Thanks. Josie off oxygen. Off ICS ward. She had hallucinations from steroids, was seeing a man in a blue suit last night. He is gone this morning. Hopefully she will come home tomorrow. THANKS everybody !

Slept at hosp[ital again, looking a little uglier than usual. Scared hell out of a nurse at 6 am in darkened hallway. Took Belle Starr to school. At home now to feed pet rat. ( can't afford a real dog, have Chihuahua ) When Josie was admitted, ER thought " major " heart attack, per EKG. Gave her stuff to slow down heart, EKG said normal ? Had 3 ER docs, 2 heart docs, 3 interns look at 1st, 2nd, 3rd
EKGS over 1 st hour and mainly say No Way !
Septic crisis passed now, but heart enzymes in blood. Stress test for Josie today , to see what happened !

Cardiologists was a no show, got RN to let me look at computer. Seems minor heart trouble, nothing heart can not regenerate.
Slept in chair that folds into bed, better than 15 years ago. Daughter had bad, bad, pneumonia. Had tracheotomy, put on respirator and induced coma for 28 days. She told me she would die if I did not hold her hand while they put her under. What a brat.
Was working evenings at time, had to toss and turn in hospital chair for 28 nights. So this time I actually am getting some sleep. Hopefully can check Josie out Monday or Tuesday. Meanwhile I have to be a good boy, take my pills, carry nitroglycerin tablets at
all times, etc. GRRRRRR !

Josie and I are home. Looks like she dodged a bullet on being septic. No signs of permanent damage. Gonna do a blue dye test on her heart in two weeks. My heart attack 2 weeks ago disproved those from the past who said I had no heart.
Time to put this thread to bed. But not before saying

Damn, Josie is home. i am being a good boy and taking my pills. Joise called to check on Joseph. He has been in hospital almost 2 weeks. Bad labs ? Trying track down more info. For a 7 foot, 400 lb. man, Joe is still hard to find.

It just gets worse and worse. My survival mode has always been to figure out the worst that can happen. Then if I can live with that, I can usually take whatever action necessary. Has worked when I was on the wrong end of a gun, or sobered up and realized I was the only white face in a bar, even when I hustled $10 8ball with only $5 in my pocket, etc !
But when Josie was in grave condition, I could not comprehend the worst. NEVER
Now back at home with her. Just got a phone call from my nephew Ellsworth, Homicide detective, an honest cop ( every family has a black sheep ).
Josie's brother Joseph has surgery tomorrow. Infection in foot. Option 1 , open up foot, get infection out, put in sponge, come back later, take out sponge. Option 2, amputate below the knee.
What a lousy f**ing year for Josie. !!!!
Me, I have no complaints about life. But this just ain't fair to Josie.

All I can go by is what Ellsworth is telling me. Am going back to Baltimore again in January. Hopefully 2013 will be a better year. it better be.
