Many other sites with forum software have a private messaging function. I didn't miss it here, until I wanted to make contact with a couple of members here. One to send me some WinCraps bet files, and another one we are arranging to meet on a gambling trip where our days were overlapping.

Is PM functionality expensive to add, or is it a nightmare from an admin perspective?
If not, any chance it could be added?

Or, any programmer worth his/her salt always likes challenges, so the challenge is:

I provided my email when I registered here, so you know what it is.
Create a meeting function, where I can say I want to contact username, MyNewFriend
You now send an email to MyNewFriend, saying,
"RaleighCraps would like to send you an email, do you accept?"

If MyNewFriend accepts, then you send RaleighCraps the email address for MyNewFriend.

This has the advantage of not consuming site DASD and cycles with PM software. It's not quite as convenient as PM, but it beats putting my email in the forum when we try to connect with each other.

You missed it, but a couple weeks ago, there was an announcement about impending upgrades to all areas of the forum.

I'd be surprised if PM wasn't included.

That should be included. The updates are running behind schedule. I was hoping they would be ready by now.

Wiz -

Don't sweat it. RaleighCraps joined on 2/20 - AFTER the initial announcement of the upgrade.

If he was here for the announcement, he'd probably be patient like the rest of us.

Yeah, What DJ said. This is a great site. I have learned more about the game I love in the last week, than I learned in 3 years of playing and Internet searching.
