Well, I thought an internet search would yield the desired results, but it didn't. So I thought I'd ask here as many like minded guys and gals around clicking...

I'm looking for a room, that's all, no kitchen, no nothing except a good AC and good security. Long ago you could rent a cheap flea bag motel on Boulder highway but that's not what I seek. A star above that is fine. Weekly cleaning and linen change is suffice.

I'd like to be able to walk to either the downtown Freemont casinos or even along the strip. A short bus/taxi ride is okay I may rent a motorcycle as well but don't want to be out of the "tourist" zone.

Something under $1000.usd a month is my "budget". I'd like however to rent from October through the high season, call it February taking advantage of the college football and NFL playoffs where the pickings are so very easy with insight.

Thanks in advance for any leads, suggestions, or out and out claims it's "impossible".

I stayed here for a month on business two years back; cost about $1100, but included a kitchenette. Security was great; I had to go down to the lobby to meet the pizza guy when I had pizza delivered (you can't get past the lobby without a room key). You might be able to find something cheaper if you don't need the kitchenette. Looks from the site like it might be cheaper now than it was when I stayed there (but there are fees on top of the weekly rate).

Looking at the construction date, you must have been one of the first ones in.

Wow, that's funny. I was there February 2011. Might be why it cost more then.

They didn't have wireless Internet when I was there, but had DSL for a very small extra charge (don't remember how much). They even loaned me a cable to plug my laptop into the connection with. Coffee maker would have also been extra but I prefer instant so didn't need one.
