Craps is generally $5 min, could be $10 on Sunday afternoon.
Have fun though, there are worse places in the world that you could end up.

they should put this on the billboard as you drive into town...
Bartons has a solid single deck game. 3:2, double down on any two, resplit anything except aces where you only get one card and can't. Their craps is $3 min, they don't allow buy bets and full double odds. There's a cheap 24 hour diner I'm sitting in right now that's similar to Denny's but much better food.
Casino Pete's is an Ameristar property who has a partnership with MGM*, has $5 craps and 3,4,5 odds. Long story short, I saw a $1500 swing there that saved my night... So I will have fond memories of the place. Also, craps tables shut down overnight at both properties. FYI: a male craps virgin I was teaching led me on that swing :D.
So my final verdict? There are worse places you could end up and if for some reason you're in the area, hit up bartons. They have about 50% penetration on that single Decker with a $200 max and amazing dealers.
* Originally called it an MGM property, the reason for the following discussion.
Edit: unless mgm bought ameristar in the past couple of weeks without my knowledge. If I remember correctly, ameristar has no other presence in Nevada other than in jackpot. Perhaps someone cam verify this.
Quote: ahiromuI never signed up for a player's card, my friends were absolutely sure that it was MGM and I saw something MGM in there... But I didn't do that much research at all. I could definitely buy the limited partnership thing so that's probably the situation.
I know where the confusion is. Behind the player's club, they have a poster showing what benefits you can get from your M Life account once you sign up by showing them your Plateau Player's Club card. When I did this back in May (I received an offer of 2 free weekend night at the Bellagio, Aria, or somewhere else and $500 free play). When I accepted the offer, I had to show my Elite Plateau Card, and was given an M Life account at the Platinum level. I thought it should have been NOIR! Anyway, I can't complain since I haven't placed a bet of any sort since December with my own money, just the free play to kill time and drink a beer. I just use my comped rooms at CP's when I drive through now. Plus they give me free play twice a month on my card.
That's a sweet deal. How did you manage to get to the Elite level at CP?Quote: avargovI know where the confusion is. Quote: AyecarumbaCongrats on the rebound! I'm sorry if I missed it, but why did you go to Jackpot, and how come you don't have a car on this excursion? It doesn't strike me as a "destination", unless you are an opal prospector.
Thanks, but I ended out only making a few bucks because blackjack killed me. I am visiting friends in Twin Falls and they were were sleeping, so I was on foot after midnight or so (tried to play through the night but I lost a grand flat betting $10 and playing BS, decided to leave with fifty bucks or so).
Ameristar is HQed in Las Vegas, but Jackpot is all Ameristar has for Nevada properties.Quote: avargovCP is not an MGM property. They are owned by ameristar. They are partnered with MGM to offer Vegas comps to Idaho players. A very limited partnership.

We partnered with M-Life to do what avargov said. Vice-Versa, regular MGM players in Vegas can earn comps and free stays in Ameristar's markets--most of which are in the midwest.
Dude, that's horrible. Even at 100/hands an hour, over six hours of play you have a 0.07% chance of losing 100 units. You should have tried a high-limit slot after that.Quote: ahiromuThanks, but I ended out only making a few bucks because blackjack killed me. Tons and tons and tons of sports bets during college football season....a good amount of craps....and it doesn't hurt to be good friends with a club supervisor.
I won't maintain it tho, since I have stopped betting....just playing out the string now

600 hands sounds right, closer to 80 hands per hour and eight hours. I hadn't played a face down game before, so on my first hand I tucked my hand and accidentally and stood on a five. Other than that, only deviated from BS on a few soft hands.
