I've never bought either the American Casino Guide nor the LVA membership, becasue most coupons I'd use are 2 for 1 deals. That's worse than useless for a single traveler. If some of them were "2 for 1 or 50% off"... But they aren't.

My preferred playing time is during the graveyard shift as I know most of the dealers and the table limits are lower. On a $5 craps table I easily end up with over $100 on the felt once a few numbers have been rolled, and craps is always 10 dollars during the day which is too much for me. On the nights I play graveyard I'm usually getting ready for bed around 8am, so the last thing I want is breakfast. Unfortunately I often have school or have to work which limits my play to Friday nights and Saturdays, in which case I play blackjack and baccarrat only.

Every month, a certain casino chain offers the locals "Green Stamp" quality merchandise giveaways. Sometimes it's good (vacuum thermos bottle) and sometimes it's lame (glass candy dish). Because they send out more postcards than available merchandise; on the days they offer the lame stuff, I try to get there during the last 30 minutes when I know for certain they are out; and collect the $10 free play instead.

Over the years I have redeemed birthday offers for small gifts such as beer steins, bottle openers etc. I am talking about CAESARS.
Then the gifts stopped and they would send me a birthday card in the mail with a free meal offer. Then the birthday card became electronic with a free meal offer. The final insult was when they invited me to celebrate my birthday at their casino!

No gift, no free meal, just a 'come on down'.

Now they don't offer me anything. Not even the e-mail birthday wishes or the 'come on down'.

When the "We miss you(We want you back)" mailing comes in lower than my highest for the last 6 months, it tells me they are still clueless.
$100/week in August, $60/week in Sept., $15/week in October, then $20 for whole month of Feb. for the we miss you. My gosh, why do they think my last time was Sept.? In the days of horrible machine offerings, only completely naive people would send these or accept these. I'm just not interested and they are better off not mailing anything. The casino in question I have to continue to not play for long periods before coming back to get anything decent. The next time I am just going to take advantage of the system.

The indian casino in Milwaukee (which is doing quite well, I might add) just sent me a coupon in the mail good for, and I quote, "one free pork bun with purchase of General Tso's chicken entree."

Also, to use the coupon requires presenting your player's card AND photo identification. Can't have people scamming that free pork bun.

I've wondered about that one. If your play suddenly dropped off, there's usually a reason for it. (Best case-- you're just busy. But that means your time is more valuable, so you'd want to go to either your #1 spot or the place that's most generous, nu? Worst case, something happened and another place picked you up.) And their response is to try and win your back by... cutting back on what they're offering you. If they're expecting you to not show up, they might as well make a more generous offer. Not like they lose anything unless it's claimed.

Another case that I've wondered about is why on earth the only one who gets anything from one casino is my sister-- and she's probably gambled less than 200$ ever. Oh no, ignore the rest of us that put upwards several thousand through the last time we were there. And it's not like the address is wrong in the database either-- we got a survey from them, asking why we haven't been there lately! (With no offers attached.)

Got a pretty lame offer from Mount Airy Poconos.

It wasn't specific for me, anyone can get it, but it is the Blizzard Free Slot Play offered on their Main Web page.

"If there is 6 inches or more of snow and you brave the storm and come to Mt. Airy, we'll give $10 Slot Dollars!"

So basically, you risk your safety driving on terrible roads in the Pocono Mountains covered with Ice and Snow for $10 in slot play that will likely amount to little to nothin in cash? Pretty lame.

Damn, I am glad that the casinos I frequent in Blackhawk hook me up pretty well. I dont think I have paid for a meal, or a room, (usually a 3 night suite recently) after the 1st time I went up there. I went up my 1st time in September of 2012, got a players card when I walked in, and over the night I was up there I probably amassed $3000-4000 in bets (all tracked smoothly by my card in the Organic roulette machine) and ended up up for the weekend, and with apparently enough betting done to where the Isle sends me coupons every month. They usually send 4 coupons, one good for each week of the month, and each for 3 nights at a time. After reading the Horror stories posted here, I am glad I found a casino that hooks me up.
