How about the fact that some people do answer your question in one thread, yet you hound them for answers again in other threads? It's beyond ridiculous. The point is entire pages of threads get lost due to you rampage of multiple postings. I end up reading the same thread over and over but with a different topic title each time. Is this how you normally get your point across? I just find it irritating. Besides, other people ask you questions in those threads yet you ignore them and continue to ruin/steer the conversation in to your off topic direction of choice.

Wrong answer. The *BULK* of non-important posts, are the ones that insult others. Take those away and YES, you can eliminate alot of pages, I agree. "Is this how you normally get your point across?" >>> As an example: There are MANY posters that will post maybe 7 trash responses, never really answering something. Nope, not on my watch coolbreeze. You dont get to have it both ways. Slinging mud and not answering SIMPLE questions?? Besides, if someone does not like the thread topic....dont respond, skip it. Seems like an easy solution. Ken

I've been resistant to calling anyone a "troll", but if anyone fits the definition, it's jjj. He seems to delight in--well, not in arguing, since he doesn't actually ARGUE, he just gainsays everybody--how shall I put it--being a lightning rod. I gave up on trying to disabuse him of some of his sillier notions a week or so ago--I blocked him.

So many of the things he says are breathtakingly stupid, that I don't actually think he's that dumb (dumb, yes; just not THAT dumb). I think he has an ulterior motive: either he IS a troll, and delights in chaos (being a cousin to those people who plant viruses), or he is gathering "material" to help him sell a roulette "system". I think the latter is the case.

At any rate, I strongly suggest that everyone block him, for the sake of their own sanity.

Many posters here just can't resist feeding the trolls.

It seems to me gamblers fall into two categories: those who have a facility with and/or respect for the mathematics of gaming, and those who play with betting systems, table charting, etc.

I do not believe the members of these groups attend the same meetings. Some of the first group (known derisively as "Math Boys" on some other boards), after a protracted streak of bad losses may have migrated to the second, perhaps feeling betrayed by the mathematics. I doubt there has been much movement in the other direction.

In any event, the rationalism of the Math Boys seems to result in an irresistible urge to enlighten the other group about the ironclad laws of probability. The Other Side (I have no catchy name for them) has no interest in these arguments, and some delight in baiting the Math Boys through prevarication. They may not understand the math, but the real point is, they don't care. They just pop back to their home board and giggle about tying the Math Boys up in knots.

You can't teach them what they don't want to learn, and we see their methods as silly, irrational, and superstitious. Don't waist your internet breath.

The entire history of human civilization can be summed up as: Rationality vs. The Idiots. The Idiots are ahead*, and they always have been. The difference between "modern" times and the past is that they aren't leading by quite as much these days--but there's still no foreseeable chance of catching them anytime soon.

mrjjj must gain something from posting at many forums. It should not matter to us what that is other than a specific answer to his question.

When he asks a question, or for that matter, any of us asks a question, let us answer his question FIRST without throwing in extra comments.

I feel, then the questions should get better followed with better answers.

We can always throw in our opinions after the question has been answered. It is so easy to say right away "that is stupid" and that actually may be the truth, but how about a specific answer to a specfic question first, then any extra comments may follow.

It would make for better reading of these longer threads and posts.

You haven't read very many of his ravings, have you?

EVERY thread he participates in involves a nonsensical assertion by him, then someone tries to point out the flaws in his logic, then he responds with something like the following:

"Yeah, well, there may be 38 slots on the roulette wheel, but wolverines live in Siberia, so what about THAT, huh? Lol. Lol. Lol. Lol. I'm a winner and you're not. So there, buddy. Neener neener neener. Lol."

Actually, the above isn't a perfect representation, because I didn't misspell any words.

You are unjustifiedly optimistic about getting anything meaningful or useful out of this jerk. Note that I've called him a moron in the past, and that he is, but lately, his jerkiness has begun to shine through as his paramount and defining quality.

OMG! So I googled roulette forums this morning (yes, I was bored). Anyway, this donkey is correct in saying he is on all of them. Not only does he back up this forum with his multiple delluded ravings, but he does the same on all the other forums too. That's why I think so many of his threads don't make sense because he replies on one board and copy and pastes his answer post into every other forum. I found the same thread titles on all of them. He is disagreed with and called a jerk pretty well everywhere. However it does seem that the more idiots that make up the total forum membership, the more respect he gets. I amazes me that people actually think they can beat roulette, but not as much as their total inability to think for themselves.

guido111, you can't answer him like that and solve the problem. When you answer him, he usually disregards the answer if it isn't the one he wants and picks on ANYONE who says that his questions are flawed. The guy is a lost cause or possibly mentally ill. How else can he say something that can be proven to be flawed and claim it is not? My favorite is his post about how he is the least vague poster here! LOL! Now that's funny!

"copy and pastes his answer post into every other forum. I found the same thread titles on all of them" >>> Yeah? No secrets with Ken, now what? Whats your method of choice for roulette MarieBicurie?

"he usually disregards the answer if it isn't the one he wants" >>> Wrong. Yes Ken, no Ken, I agree Ken, I dont agree Ken.....they all work. NOT answering (but arguing) is this issue. Hmmm, the definition of vague? I ask something as COMPLETE as I can and stay on topic. I answer questions to the fullest.

If I dont know something, I won't guess. Yeah, thats kind of vague. Something I should do but would take a long time.....I should make a chart for all the boards. List who answered 'A' or 'B', who tried to be in the middle. Who talks smack and does not answer at all. Not sure I want to put that amount of time into that project. Ken

I am strongly reconsidering my free speech policy. If and when I unfortunately have to do that, I plan to ban the most nasty, annoying, and abusive members. Mrjjj, you are currently on the top of the list.

For now, consider this a warning to concentrate more on quality as opposed to quantity of posts. In particular, I have a short fuse for reposting the same crap over and over until you get a response.

Yay! I mean, contrary to any impression I may have given in a suggestion to ban Mr. Logan (before he left, though he apparently will be back), I'm very much for all opinions being represented, (wacky or repulsive as they may be considered by anyone), but somebody should probably occasionally make a call on someone being repeatedly a nuisance, or being abusive well beyond the norm.

I really expect less than 1% would fall into that category anyway. Of course, you could attract hordes of trolls at some point. Who knows, it's the Internet after all.

But it's not USENET, and nobody has the right to filibuster, so there's hope. It doesn't take much moderation to avoid the sort of fate that happened to newsgroups once auto-spam-bots started running.

Ultimately, it's still the Wizard's site. He's paying for the domain and the hosting plan. That means he gets to decide which bytes stay on his hard drives regardless of who wrote them. If he'd rather weed out those who divert discussion away from more productive conversations, or whose volume or tone is unseemly, that's his prerogative.

If person 'A' has the right to talk smack, then why when person 'B' responds, thats so wrong? (we'll see how many answers I get to that one. lol) Another thing that is inconsistent. I hear the talking regarding 'so many posts' but why dont I hear anything about how many NEW topics I started? Ken

lol lol lol lol lol lol

Mr. jerk jerk jerk has actually only started one thread--the same one, that is, under 13 different titles: I KIN BEET ROOLET.

And he apparently doesn't even realize what is wrong with cutting and pasting the same response to a dozen different threads. Really. It's possible he doesn't have a clue that it is rude and discourteous to vomit huge amounts of nonsense onto message boards.

The worst part is, he doesn't seem to realize that ain't NOBODY here gonna buy his Sure E-Z Win Roolet System.
The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one. The happiness of credulity is a cheap and dangerous quality.---George Bernard Shaw

Is that a feature that came with the set or does your cable/satellite provider offer it? Might be worth buying stock in company that offers such a feature.

LOL.
