We have a term here on the East Coast which refers to the habit some men have of sitting with their legs spread apart, in a "V" shape. It's called "man-spread".

When sitting at a full table, the person next to the "man-spreader" has the pleasure of feeling the encroaching stranger-leg against theirs. What is even worse is when the "man-spreader" does this while sitting almost sideways on their chair facing their neighbor. While wearing sweats. Special. 😄

This.
It can be quite painful to sit other ways. Politely let the person know and I'm sure they'll give you some room.

Im with the op on this. If your junk is so big that you can't sit like a gentleman, don't play at a full table. I've seen our president sit with his legs crossed and would hate to think our commander-in-chief has a micro.

Just an FYI, I'm talking about the ones that really have their legs open wide. I've sat next to many men who don't sit like that or make adjustments if they bump me and realize then they are encroaching. If you feel yourself touching your neighbors leg, especially a woman's, lets bring 'em in a bit. That's all I'm saying. Doesn't apply to all men.

But it's incredibly hard to sit cross legged at a table anyways. Plus learning forward while sitting that way makes it difficult to lean forward.

Yeah, if these guys are using it as an excuse to touch you then I think something needs to be said to the Pit Boss. Their right to be creepy ends at the tip of your leg. I wouldn't put up with any harassment.

Yes. I know Brittney. He's a real bad ass on the court.

And his deep voice makes him sound even more bad ass during a post game interview.

This must be one of the hidden rules in the casino handbook we never get to see.

Some guy was employing a ridiculous manspread at the table yesterday next to me, and the day-drunk lady on my left was doing the "purse spread". ( I hate when ladies put their purse on the seat I need when there are other seats open, makes it akward when I specifically want THAT seat.) Fortunately it was to my benefit to have the chair pushed back from the table anyway, now I had a good excuse to since I had about 1 foot of leg room otherwise.

I also hate when other players ask me if they can play my trips/pair plus/blackjack sidebets. I always say no because those bets slowing the games to a crawl is frustrating, then they act like I'm the jerk and point it out when It would have won.

I had a $1100 win on Match the Dealer after allowing a player to bet it on my hand. The casino is tightening up now and many pit bosses are not allowing it. Someone can still hand you the money but if it causes undue attention it's really not worth it. She gave me a green chip and thanked me profusely.

If your junk is so big that you can't sit like a gentleman....

Usually it has nothing to do with junk size, but hip size.

Women have wider hips for a reason, but it also makes it easier to sit comfortably with legs crossed. Or at least with legs straight.

Men generally have narrower hips, which makes sitting with legs spread more comfortable, as well as more natural.

Have you ever seen a man sit with legs crossed where it's actually just ankles crossed and knees apart? That doesn't solve the problem, but at least the man can say his legs are crossed....

I'm sure there is a scientific way to test all ideas here, but until that happens, I believe I will withhold any firm conclusion.

Something for these people to get to work on.

this is specifically the situation that I always say no in. If they can place the bet on my spot it's not as bad but I still don't like the intrusion. But when they have to hand me chips, whether above or below the table, and I have to place it and give them the wins every hand, total pain especially when I prefer not to acknowledge the existence of other players at the table.
