This is ridiculous and obviously a computer mistake. But emailing costumer service repeatedly has resulted in no change and mostly stupid responses..This has been on going for over a month.

if you currently enter your Total rewards card on CET web sight which guarantees the lowest prices...enter the days you want to stay say for 3 days at any AC casino....You get a screen that says congratulation to guarantee you the lowest prices we have automatically applied a 35% 3 day discount. The problem is it discounts the non Total rewards room prices....

For example if I look at a Monday to Thursday stay, at Harrods call up give my Total rewards number (I'm diamond) I will get a $31 a night room. while I'm on hold I'm told if I go to the Web sight I'm guaranteed the lowest rates...

I go to the web sight, Enter my card...look at the all casino schedule...and yea same price...go to book...get the automatic 35% 3 day discount and my room becomes $55 a night...with a big statement congratulating me on my guaranteed lowest price. Thats almost 300% overcharging the 18.50 ish room I should be getting..

Ok I contact costumer service though the email...They answer the wrong question...

So I take screen captures of the prices...they forward to web department...then tell me there applying the wrong dicount..and if I do it XYZ it will be correct...I do and its still the ridiculous over charge...I send them screen captures again ...and explain the multi ways Ive tried to book on line..all over charging...I get no reply.

Ok I go to the 800 number try to explain the problem to them...they don't understand a thing...and give me the $31 rate again...I ask if anyone else I can talk to ....no result...

So I figure they will just fix it soon and give up. Now its been over a month I send another email....have informed them the problem still exists...suggest they send it to legal before they get a class action law suit...(am tempted to find a lawyer and start one)

I'm sure unsuspecting Total rewards members have over paid...I'm also sure some end up going to another casino...

I have a ton of comps so paying $31 for an 18.50 room is not the worst thing I've ever done...but its so stupid having to weight on hold then price out everything when it used to be so simple to see the best prices on line...and book immediately....If it presist it will start to cost me a lot of comps....I play poker and usually stay 10 to 15 night a month....(I'm comped 4) so getting over charged will eventually burn my comps up.

There is no excuse for this problem to persist for over a month.

I feel your pain....I often get different prices online...vs. the direct mailings...which are different again if I call the 800 number. I just go with the lowest price and move on...it's just not worth the headache dealing with the low level people you talk to on the phone. I understand they should get it right/be consistent across all their platforms. But they just aren't. Haven't been ever in my experience. Try not to let it bother you.

Why is a Diamond having to pay anything for a room? As if I didn't need any more reasons to never consider AC......

I look at a Monday to Thursday stay, at Harrods call up give my Total rewards number (I'm diamond) I will get a $31 a night room.

Harrods?

I'm lowly platinum level and this weekend, I'm comp'd at Harrah's. If you really are Diamond, and I have no reason to doubt your story, there is no reason for you to be paying for a room. I don't even have to pay the resort fee, just the $13 per night room tax and I got the Waterfront Tower which is their top of the line.

Here's what I suggest, if you are going with a friend, use their Total Rewards number on the website as the companion number. That will combine your rewards so if one of you gets comp'd for two weeknights and the other gets comp'd for two weeknights then you'll get 4 weeknights for free.

As far as Total Rewards casinos go, If it's not free, it's not for me. Let me walk you through the process. First step is visit TotalRewards.com then sign in:

Second step is to click the Reservations link at the top:

In the reservations screen, select your destination (Atlantic City) and the dates you wish to arrive and leave. Important!! DO NOT CHECK FOR PROMOTIONS, the website will already choose the best one for the dates and locations you've picked. Enter your companion's TR number and their zip code as noted below:

See? I got free for the ides of March. I have no plans to go in March so I'll cancel this:

But if you're Diamond, you should not have to pay a thin dime for a weekday stay. It should go without saying so I'll go ahead and say it, your companion must arrive and check in with you. They do check for that.

He did say he's there 10-15 nights a month, and 4 of those nights are comped. So he's getting the same sort of offer I get, where my free nights tend to be 4-5/quarter offered. My host has some say about that if I'm there more often, but what he's being offered is consistent with my experience. And it appears the 1-800 operators are overriding the rate he's being offered beyond those 4 nights, because even diamond, the computer is less generous than the operators and hosts are allowed to be. I don't think there's a computer glitch. I think his comps offered on the website are consistent with their formula, and they're trying to give him a break when he calls. It would be my advice that he take the offer via the operators, or get a host.

or take some action to Borgata, where he will probably get some free rooms too.
What drives CET's thinking on the room limits?
Do they feel someone who comes more often is so hooked, that they will pay to come and play?
Why would they risk driving someone to a free room at a competitor?

Yeah, I've heard it still works to present a diamond card at Borgata and be instant Black-rated. So that would be a good move. And in both places, having them review your play at check-out will get a lot of things written off that they won't provide in advance.

I bet some bean counter has stats that show that a player's amount gambled does not go up significantly between 4 and 10 days, so they decided they can get as much out of the player by only offering 4 days free rooms per period.

The Total Rewards rate calendar only shows rates for each individual date. If you book more than one night, the rates quoted don't apply. Yes, buy more, pay more, but that's the way it's set up. Totally dishonest and counter-intuitive, but how it works.

I'm not comped as much because I only play poker. Slot players and table games tend to do much better as far as comped rooms.

Though in August looking at September and later for some reason on the all rate calender they were comping me 2 3 or 4 days a week (at Bally's) going into 2014, I booked 5 stays...they would not let me book more, and by the time I used one of my stays...they pulled all the comped room offers (not the ones I already booked of course) ....At the time I was only platinum. I went diamond at the beginning of December.

Since going diamond the room offers have pretty much been the same but good prices with multi day stays getting a 30 to 40% discount over the all rate callender wich is the same as the calling the 800 number...until this computer glich.

I will defiantly have to check the the Borgata. Hey it took me over a year to figure out that 60 to 80 hours of poker a month could get me better then $1.50 and hour and a $39 poker rate room at Tropicana. tropicana would not even give me a free bus ticket after 8 trips because poker play did not count towards that offer.

Who do I get to review my play? Whenever I ask the poker room about poker rates at Bally's...they call the desk and get a worse rate then I'm already paying.

I would take my Diamond play to the VIP check-in lounge (on check-out day) with the card and ID and ask them to review your play and see if they can offer you any additional comps on your rooms. At Borgata, if they have a Black check-in/out, I would ask them, otherwise the regular clerk; that clerk may send you to someone with more authority.

Something is happening at all the CZR sites in Atlantic City, and it's not very nice. They seem to be cutting back quite drastically and quite oddly for all levels on whatever little generosity they had.

And don't even bother trying to get free parking. Fork up that $10 on a good day.

I completely forgot about this until you just mentioned it. I visited there in the beginning of December and saw the sign for who gets free parking. Since I hadn't played there in about 3 years, I thought it odd that my gold card received free parking, but didn't give it much more thought than that. When I went to leave, the booth attendant tried to charge me and I said "The sign says gold is free." "Yea but your card is green" *Looking at card* "...My card is clearly gold."

Apparently they switched card colors and I was supposed to pay the $10. I told her I refuse and she asked for my license, to which I also refused. She told me to sit tight while she wrote down my license plate number, then let me go. I mostly expected it to just go away, but thought there would be a minuscule chance I'd receive some kind of citation or something in the mail. I guess after 2 months have passed it's just gone away.

I imagine you'll have a bill in your windshield wiper blade if you go back there, but that's only one possibility of a few, I guess. My Step-Dad had that happen when he forgot his wallet at home and had no means by which to pay for parking (this did not happen at a Caesar's property or casino of any kind) anyway, they took his plate when he left and the next time he parked at that garage he came back to find a bill from the previous time in his windshield. Obviously, he paid both.

I only know this because the question happened to come up one time when we went somewhere together and parked in a parking garage and I offered, "I wonder what would happen if someone didn't have money to pay to park when the time to leave came?"

Even if you have the lowest level card at Tropicana, 2 hours of poker gets you free parking. The guy has to come around with the scanner twice though.
