A $27.50 BJ should pay $41.25, not $41.50. Do your casinos really round up?

EVERY casino I've played in rounds up in that situation. Apparently it's easier to round up than to argue about a stinkin quarter.

Of course, they won't break reds into pinks on request, so it's somewhat rare that someone gets a BJ, or needs to surrender, when they're playing the pink chip.
Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁 Note that the same could be said for Religion. I.E. Religion is nothing more than organized superstition. 🤗

A $15 blackjack gets paid with a pink chip. In my home casinos they will gladly give you all the pink chips you want. It's never been an issue as players use them for side bets and tips for dealers and servers.

I remember when Ballys in AC put quarters on the games so they wouldn't have to round up. I can't remember if they still do that.

When Mohegan Sun first opened they did not have pink chips. They kept half dollars in the trays. I have no idea why because they still had the rounding up problem.

I remember the Riviera in LV used to use a real cheap looking pink chip for 50 cents on the Pai Gow tables for commission. Havent been there in 6-7 years so not sure if they still do. Maybe they were hoping customers would take them as souveniers.

I've played at lots of places (usually small card rooms) that just use 50 cent pieces and don't bother with $2.50 chips.

That was done because the guy in charge was a Vegas guy, and he like the pink chips.
