PokerGrinder. I probably asked this before but I will ask again. I would ask Doc as well but I'm not sure that he is into AP stuff.

With all the different casinos you visit are you telling me there is never any juicy promotions? Are you not really taking the time to investigate? I would assume there had to be at least a few really good situations in a few of the casinos at the time you visited. From what I remember you have been to way more casinos that I ever have.

You have and I think Iím about to give you the same response. Itís really hard to find out about promos or other things like that when you donít speak the local language.

Casino: Hollywood Casino

Today's chip of the day is from the Hollywood Casino in Bogota, Colombia. I visited this casino on the last day of my trip before I flew home. Hollywood Casino had about 200 slot machines, 8 tables on the main floor (they have a VIP area) and a small poker area with a few tables. I won 52,500 playing 5000 minimum BJ. They had two types of chips in play, mostly the one that I kept but they also had a few that they had in play in the Medellin Hollywood Casino.

The chip is turquoise with 8 orange edge inserts. The centre inlay is white with the casino name and the chip denomination both in black.

Casino: Aladdin Casino

Today's chip of the day is from the Aladdin Casino in Bogota, Colombia. This was the first casino that I visited in South America and the crappiest chip I collected from any of them. The casino had about 250 slot machines and 8 tables on the second floor. Kyle and I played 5,000 minimum BJ for about 20 minutes, I broke even while he won 50,000. Sadly despite MoGH having Aladdin chips they were using a complete set of boring generic chips on all of their tables. I kept one but I would have liked to have the one posted on MoGH over this crap.

The chip is red with white markings around the centre inlay. The centre inlay is a blurred picture of a table felt, I think it might be baccarat. The denomination is both gold "5" and white "0's".

Casino: Millionaires Casino

Today's chip of the day is from Millionaires Casino in Bogota, Colombia. Once again neither Casino City or MoGH know that this place exists. The casino's website says that they have been open since October 2015 and has 160 slots and various tables. I will ballpark the "various" games as roughly 15 tables from my memory. This was easily the nicest casino in Colombia that I visited, they really did an amazing job and the name fits very well. The table game limits were quite high on everything except their one BJ table for some reason. The BJ was 5,000 minimum when even the carnival games that take multiple bets per round was at a 10,000 or 15,000 minimum. I lost 90,000 playing BJ for about 30 minutes, mostly alone. I don't usually play as much as I did in these casinos but when the minimum bet is less than $2 USD I don't mind playing for a while.

The chip is beautiful! The chip is a pale tan, not sure if tan can be pale but I didn't know what to call this colour. The 8 edge inserts are... a dark maroon? Again, is that a colour? I was looking at colour palettes online and I couldn't settle on what type of red it is. The centre inlay is white with a gold border. The casino name and logo are beautifully printed in gold with the location in black.

Casino: Luckia Casino

On to a new country!

Today's chip of the day is from Luckia Casino in Lima, Peru. I don't remember the size of this place much, they had a decent amount of slots and 12 or so tables plus a poker room. The internet has almost nothing saying that this place exists, if I hadn't been there I probably would say it didn't. Kyle and I played 5,000 minimum Bj for a shoe or so, I lost 20 soles. The poker room was running a tournament but no cash games sadly.

They used chips from a company called Absolute Games S.A which after a google search I found to be a closed company which ended my search. The chip is brown/red with 8 grey edge inserts. The centre inlay is white in the middle and peach towards the outer inlay. Absolute games is red with I am assuming their logo around the name. The denomination is black.

Thanks for the posts PG!

Were the game procedures the same in all the casinos you visited in South America (e.g., Dealer distributes cards left to right, etc.)?

Do the slots require hand pays over a certain threshold? I recall you mentioned hitting a 190,000 jackpot,.. If so, do the attendants expect a tip?

Was all the signage in Spanish, or were they in English and Chinese too?

Was the currency different sizes in any of these countries? If so, did the bill feeders work reliably on the slot machines?
