I actually debated this one for awhile and decided this way without any reason. Now that I think of it though the signs on the outside of the casino just said President Casino so I think I'll switch to that. The next two chip of the days have the same problem.

Casino: Rio

Today's chip of the day is from Rio Casino (Galaxy) in Macau, Macau. The Rio Casino opened on February 22, 2006. We tried and failed to find the Rio Casino on our first chip collecting night and then managed to find it by accident the next day. We were on our 45 minute walk to the ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral when we saw the Rio Casino. We ate the pork jerky I had just bought (spicy and yummy) because they wouldn't let us in with any bags. We then found a bathroom to wash up and headed in. The Rio is much like many of the other casinos in the area except that this one gave us a bunch of money. We played BJ and just kept winning! At one point we kept saying we will quit as soon as we lose a hand and next thing you know we were cashing out around $3500 HKD profit ($1750 each). Not too shabby!

I collected both a $5 chip and a $10 chip at the (Galaxy) Rio Casino. They are the same style of BG made chips that we have seen from my posts of the last couple of days. The $5 chip is lime green with a white centre inlay. The Galaxy logo and the chip denomination are both gold. The casino name in both English and Chinese and the BG mark are in black. The $10 chip is sandy brown with a white centre inlay. The centre inlay is the exact same as the $5 chip except the different denomination of course.

I've been looking for that kind of place, but it seems that every time I go into a casino described that way they change their policies.

It's rare but some casinos do give away a lot of money (jokes), although most don't lol. I know it has nothing to do with the venue but I rarely lose at sides at the Venetian/Palazzo. I'm up over $30,000 at those properties over the last 5 years (yes I keep track cause I'm nuts) while giving a ton back at other properties. It's always been funny to me how you can find patterns in complete randomness. Of course it doesn't make a difference where you play if the rules are the same but I win at Venetian/Palazzo and have always lost at Flamingo.

Casino: Waldo

Today's chip of the day is from the (Galaxy) Waldo Casino in Macau, Macau. I will admit one of the first things that I did when we found this casino was take a picture of the front of the casino and post it on Facebook with the caption "I found Waldo". Yes I am a dork sometimes. As far as the casino we spent about ten minutes looking around and then played a single hand of baccarat, not much more to share about this generic Galaxy brand casino.

I collected two chips again at the Waldo Casino, still no logical explanation except I could, therefore I did. The $5 chip is a basic red chip that has a textured front and back. A black circle to mark the "centre inlay" is hot stamped on. The casino name in both English and Chinese along with the denomination of the chip are hot stamped on in yellow. The $10 is the same BG model that I have posted the last few days. The chip is sandy brown with a white centre inlay. The inlay has the Galaxy logo with the casino name in English and Chinese plus the "BG" mark in black. The denomination is in gold over top of the Galaxy logo.

I now have two more chips to post over the next couple of days and then I will turn the thread back over to Konbu if he is ready to go. I plan on posting those two chips without any missed days because a certain member harasses me when I don't post every day :P

Sorry Doc work comes first. Poker game lasted well into the new day and even if I had the energy at that point to make a post it wouldn't have been in time for yesterday's chip of the day.

Casino: Wynn Palace

Today's chip of the day is one of the prettiest chips from one of the nicest casinos I have ever been to, the brand new Wynn Palace. Steve Wynn has surely outdone himself once again. We took the cable cars (pictures in my TR thread) over the amazing fountains and into the casino. We both had mild panic attacks from the height as we were being brought into the casino. We ate at the noodle house and the food was amazing. I am always amazed that Wynn properties seem to have at least a couple of reasonably priced restaurants in his casinos. We played poker for about a hour but I cashed out at that point because I was getting quite tired. I won $140 HKD messing around on a slot machine while I waited for Eric to rack up his chips.

The chip is turquoise with 6 pairs of white edge inserts. The centre inlay is white and feels like plastic. The Wynn logo, casino name and denomination are all in black and make for an extremely classy looking chip. Another feature which is hard to show in a picture is the the shiny part when you move the chip shows a mixture of the "Wynn Palace" plus logo in rectangles opposite just "Wynn" in the opposite rectangles.

Tomorrow I will post my last chip which I mentioned in my first Macau post is the SJM chip from a particular casino.
