1. Convince the House to block off the zeros for you, Ashley Revell-style.

Didn't happen. He just asked for that and was refused at the Hard Rock. Th Plaza eventually let him have one spin, filmed with no blocked off numbers.

Serves me right for believing what I read on Wikipedia discussion pages. I can't tell you how relieved I am to find out that it didn't happen. That was one of those things that always really bugged me to think about. Might even have something to do with why I've never been to the Plaza.

Thanks greatly for clearing that up for me. Again, I can't tell you how glad I am to hear that.

If they did block the double zero, I missed it when watching and in the show notes. This is very possible, recollection is an odd thing. The whole thing was a clever stunt. I don't doubt Ashley had something lined up to replace the hundred and thirty five thousand, had he lost it all.

Far mote interesting for all or bust, of adifferent variety was a Brutish artist who shredded all his possessions, and sold the remains as art. Hotdogs how well e did with th selling, but all he had at the end was several tens of creates of shredded detritus and a single boiler suit a friend gave him after he shredded his last pair of underwear.

I didn't read the entire thread...but I'll tell you that casino's don't care either way...win or lose.
Sure there are certain employees, even up to Casino Managers who "sweat the money" but I can gurantee the Head Honcho's don't because they understand that gambling is just that. GAMBLING...there's ALWAYS an advantage in favor of the house.
So for everyone who wins, the casino doesn't care, because no matter what, when you're playing a game in their casino, they're GUARANTEED to make a profit.
Hosts included, they don't care if you win or lose...just as long as your AVERAGE PLAY is high.
