Pick a game that is actually in a casino -- and what would you add or change about it? Try to add something other than just a better return to your answer : )

And with that --

Wheel poker where the wheel amounts are progessive instead of just the static numbers you get when you hit a 4 of a kind.

craps .... with chairs.
craps ... without "winner, winner chicken dinner"
craps ... with more broads.

BJ ... with signs about "no chip clicking".

MiniBacc ... with signs in Chinese that say "English Only".
MiniBacc .. with floor persons who don't believe in charting trends.

slots ... with house edge of that machine on it.

Man, what's wrong with you? You too quick to dismiss a GREAT idea.

They can attach their ID to their bottoms. Or they can wear an arm band.

If memory serves, IP's dealertainers don't wear their ID, they place them on the table where they are dealing.

Speaking of which, has anybody played the new machines at Dotty's and other places? I forget the name but they have the slot game with the redneck donkeys. Not only do they have volume controls, and swivel chairs, and nice displays, they display the house edge of EVERY GAME, showing how the return goes up the more you bet.

Well, I think you mean two big dittos, but perhaps there might even be a new novelty item available at the gift shop bearing the casino's logo: Nipple Clips.

I've not seen Dotty or her new machines but I think its a great public relations coup to have the house edge displayed and particularly displayed per coin. Its NOT the absolute value of the information displayed, its the FACT that Dotty's displays it. Anyone wandering in to visit Dotty or having heard about the display elsewhere knows that other casinos don't give them that information. Instant customer loyalty!

A Bonus for 3 of a kind in PGP and have every VP machine have the cocktail button. At Ballys in A/C you hit a button while playing VP and a waitress comes over almost right away, thats something I can deal with.

PGP: Hands ranked Quads or better pay 2:1 ALSO 4% Vig at $25 Tables... Dealers hate making change, and it slows down an otherwise decent game.
PGP Side-Bets: 2nd the motion, Three Pairs pays out 7:1, but IMHO drop the "Straights" from the side-bets... drags the payoffs down, its too common.
BJ H17: Blackjack pays 7:5, but you can Hit/Double/RSA on Split Aces, just like any other pair.
Carib. Stud: Straight 5:1 Flush 7:1 FH 10:1
VP/Slots: Gotta have that waitress button... great idea.

Rather than a "waitress call button" the new "in-thing" is on-screen ordering from any slot machine. You get a limited menu of cocktails but you get them in one trip by the waitress.

I just saw a local news story on new Bally machines. You also will be able to watch TV. (perhaps only on some, I'm not sure)

Are those out in the casinos somewhere already? They showed one, but it wasn't in a casino. Looks like it had sensitive touch screen action, similar to phones and ipad.

Penny multi-strike (5 cents total)

Levels: x2, x4, x8, x16, x32, x64, x128, 256, etc.

up to where your $200 Royal Flush is multiplied out to be worth 1 million. (or some other high total, perhaps progressive)

Bank of many machines with an overhead screen that would feature the machine with the current highest level achieved.

To make it less aggravating for back seat driver bystanders who want to make suggestions, it wouldn't show the deal choice, just the results if hit.

Although you could try it the other way. Might be interesting if a crowd gathered every once in awhile yelling out whether to hold a hand on the rare occasion when a player hits a high level. I'm not sure if the Freerides should work the same way for such a multi-level.

I had an "Elite" card at Philly Park and Parx (Highest level/Diamond equiv...), and I played the Shufflemaster Blackjacks alot. They had the drink order touchscreen (only when I put in the elite card). This was over 3 years ago. (Definitely still in the old building.) I don't drink, so I only went into the "Soft Drink" menu. I have no idea how elaborate the alcohol menu was. Also, often a waitress would come and ask me for an order before my "touchscreen" one had arrived. Probably working out the kinks.

I first saw the small sensitive touch screens when Borgata opened in '03.

Remember the dealers in bikinis at Rio? Blackjack paid 1:1, it was known as "the worst blackjack game in the world." So make that single deck Blackjack, 3:2, DAS, RSA, DA, S17, topless well endowed good looking young female dealers, and you'll have something.
Last time I was in Las Vegas, I was playing craps in Binion's party pit, and realized that now the players are short sticking the dealers!

My wish list isn't really changes to games; just games I'd like to see offered period.

Faro in Las Vegas. (Disappeared because of the low house edge.)

Chemin de Fer. Baccarat meets poker. I played it at the Casino de la Vallee in Italy and loved it.

BangNeki. Although I could see casinos objecting due to the possibility for arbitrage, like in sports betting.

I have felt for some time that the public will become immune to seeing house advantage, and will appreciate watching it go down as a result of increased play. These machines could potentially make more money.

I also feel that a small place with 15 machines that are networked together could pass around a "token" to one of the active players. The "ringer" could possibly have 100% payback for a time period of say ten minutes. It would encourage people to keep playing to receive the token. It would add something to shout about livening up an otherwise dull room.

Which Dotty's did you see this machine at, and can you give any more information. A web search has failed to locate information on the machine.

I mentioned the Dotty's machines at the first. They are not limited to Dotty's. I have seen them in the larger commercial casinos as well. I'm afraid I don't know the vendor, but they are a stand-alone console of video gaming machines with rollable comfortable chairs, and a variety of proprietary games loaded on them. The most notable is a slot game with donkeys called Hillbilly something-or-other. They also have video poker games with different pictures of Kings and Queens, etc.

Payback is indicated for every game, as well as how the payback changes depending on how many coins/denomination you bet. Almost complete disclosure.

Anybody in Vegas have information on the manufacturer?

BTW, I say this without the least bit of worry about being a tin hatter.

It seems perfectly reasonable to me for the casinos to want to keep players in the dark about what odds are machine to machine. And not get into a pissing war on another level with competition.

I thought Dotty's used primarily IGT Game King slant-tops. No?
