Dear All,
Having made certain 'challenging' posts within this thread, I did indeed PM the Wizard to bring my post to his attention. I have just received a reply. Obviously, I cannot reveal the content of that reply.

Wizard has said many times that he supports free speech including that of moderators, but that he expects a certain 'higher standard' of behaviour from his moderators. I have not met that higher standard on this occasion and a few others.

I therefore offer an unreserved public apology to Wizard, to all members, and to MarcusClark66 for posting in ways that are unbecoming of a moderator and in ways which either challenge or embarrass the Wizard.

I have not been suspended or demoted, but as a courtesy to the Wizard and to the forum, I will voluntarily refrain from any moderating or posting actions for the remainder of December. I will still read and react to PM's.

I confirm that I will endeavour, indefinitely, to meet that higher standard of posting. I may fail, but I will give my best effort to be more restrained and polite, in future.

I'd like to thank Wizard and other moderators for their consideration of this matter.

Since this thread is now closed, if you wish to comment on the content of this post, please only do so in the appropriate discussions thread. I will not be commenting on it further unless directed to by Wizard.
