Somewhat on topic, why is it that pickup truck drivers ALWAYS speed? Whenever I see someone pass me on the highway it is a good bet that it is a pickup. I saw a guy hanging out on the right lane doing 60 once, and I had to do a double take because he was driving a pickup! Is it because with the V6/V8 it is just too easy to let the throttle fly? I wouldn't know having driven 4-cylinders my whole life.

I had a Dodge Dakota pickup when I was in college, and I drive a VW GTI now. Theoretically, the GTI is sportier but I drive it much more slowly and consistently than I drove the truck. Some of that difference is almost certainly attributable to the difference in age (30 now, 22 then) but I think the angle also has something to do with it. 60 feels Fast in the GTI, but not in a taller vehicle. I would say that the same perception of speed (I think the word is velocitization?) occurs in a pickup at around 80-85 mph, and I think people will generally tend to drive as quickly as they perceive to be safe. To the extent that faster speeds feel safer to pickup drivers, their drivers tend to hammer the throttle down a little more.

A local casino was giving away a big Ford pickup last month. Parked indoors, it was quite intimidating. You had to use a step to climb into the cab. It was a 4 door with a bed about half the size of a regular truck. The tires were almost waist high. It was like a monster, waiting to eat you. Cool....

You're describing the Southwest. It's even more pronounced in Phoenix. Almost every hard-working boy gets a pickup, and in most every case the truck makes up for the undersized penis...just like the vicious dogs some of them tote around seem to do. The trucks over here generally are far more customized into the world of uselessness than what you see in Las Vegas. But at least Phoenicians can afford what they get, because we have real industry with real salaries here. In Las Vegas you see expired plates, and it's likely there's no insurance to go with that gem. And the reasons are simple: the machines and tables at the likes of Texas Station, Sam's Town, Boulder Station, Sunset Station, Ellis Island, Terribles, South Point, etc. etc., and the huge amount of low paying service industry and lousy paying casino jobs.

I had a p/u for a year and we quickly discovered that I didn't need it for anything (including making me feel better for that which I was not lacking).

Why did you just give away your penis size? We don't care to know that.

He's making a JOKE! He said earlier that many men make up for lack of penis by getting a truck, and he made it clear he wasn't one of those. Good grief..

I thought everything is bigger in Texas. Visited Houston for a week once (training) and I must say the average Houstonian was just a bigger person - even the urinals in the bathroom were higher than I've seen anywhere else in the country. But all those big dudes driving pickups have tiny peckers...wow.
