Pres. Trump just announced both he and the first lady are positive for CV19.
My prayers for a full recovery, but this is now a government emergency. The VP was in contact with trump yesterday and should now go into quarantine. So who will be running the country?

Symptomatic could just be explosive diarrhea. It could be a nothing-burger. But he'll have to flush the toilet 10-15 times anyway.

Of course he is asymptomatic right now. It has only been 24-48 hours since he was exposed. Symptoms can occurr anywhere from 3-14 days after exposure.
As billryan mentioned, Trump is obese so that is working against him. We don't really know his other medical condition. But he has top medical care so that is in his favor. I wish President Trump, his wife and everyone else the best.
Now just as a "how does it work" question: What would happen if Trump was unable to continue running for re-election at this point? Does Mike Pence automatically become the republican nominee? I mean people are already voting in some states? I imagine it would be a real mess.

Given how frequently he gets tested and what we know about the disease, is it likely that even if he does have a symptomatic case they would take a few days yet to show up?

Not official information by any means, but it does seem to me the more susceptible people are, the symptoms come on quicker.

The Senate & the House could get shut down for quarantine by Monday (or on vacation, what's their schedule anyway?). Hope Mnuchin was on the phone all this time.

What's the word on Pence? Ideally, he should have been mostly within his own circle of people separate from Trump. If not, he probably will be from now on.
