As I do every year, I've compiled a spreadsheet and a map (also containing every casino in the outer Las Vegas area) of all of Las Vegas Advisor and American Casino Guide coupons released this year for your convenience.
Enjoy.

Thank you, but no thank you.

Gone are the days of running multiple $50 match plays and multiple double up to 125 coins on 4oak's.

On a positive note: At least I don't have to deal with Charles Lund ratting us out to the pit bosses while he was doing the same danm thing.

Some people have different perspectives. Last year we were able to run through all of the coupons and between the 2 of us we turned it into $464 over the course of 3 days. That is pretty big money for us low rollers that had a budget of $500 for the entire trip. We plan on doing it again in Jan. Maybe not all of them but a good bit of them.

I am not knocking anyone running those coupons, if that is what they want to do. However, it is amazing that people would pay to buy a book for such little value.

I am interested in betting that I could panhandle more money than the value of those coupons in less time than it takes to run those coupons. Minus the actual expense of running them.

I agree that the value of these books is way down.
I personally enjoy doing it just for the sake of doing it. It has just enough value to cover hotel and (in-Vegas) travel expenses.

If you're not batshit crazy like myself who plan on going to 30 different casinos in 5 days, there's still a little value in there -
If you go just to Binion's, Downtown Grand, Four Queens, Golden Gate, Plaza, The D and use all associated coupons, that's ~$34.22 for ACG and ~$86.17 for LVA for a theoretical profit of ~$64.44.
If you can make $64.44 panhandling for an hour and a half... I think I'm in the wrong business...

Is that 64.44 +EV after deducting the cost of the books? Are the books free?

Realizing I had a lot of expiring coupons in my two ACGs and my LVA, I did back to back coupon runs last week. Didn't keep notes but ended up about $85 ahead after perhaps four hours.
I'd already used several twofer coupons, and given the $50 Palms ticket as well as The Wicked Spoon away. The Longhorn, Bighorn coupons were long gone, as was the South Point free buffet.
Earlier this year, when the Dead were in town, I used my 30 percent off Binions Steakhouse on a party of about 15, saving several hundred on that coupon alone.
For next year, I have one of each and might buy a second one later.
If the seat filler group that AC is pushing comes thru, the LVA will be a great deal.

Assuming you are not already a member.

The value of couponing Downtown $64.

The look on someones face once they realized they have just blown out their new members status at 5 locations... PRICELESS.

I'm by all means a low roller and I gave up my personal details to literally every casino in the Outer Vegas area for 1/16th of a pittance, sometimes for literally nothing but a credit card sized piece of plastic, and I don't really regret it. I don't really see the Wynn offering $1000 in freeplay to new members any time soon and only 3 coupons require you to be a new member, one of them asks that you bet $200 for a $25 freeplay.
I think if you're a medium to high roller, whatever retention offer a casino will give you would surpass an extra $10-20 freeplay you could have gotten if you would have waited 3 years before joining.

For a local it probably makes zero sense. For an out of towner I find it fun as well. So if it takes me 4 hours downtown to get through them all I will make $40 ish each, drink a few free drinks, and still get to gamble a little. I also like the basic free roll on a royal. If I wasn't doing that fir 4 hours I would probably be playing -ev vp or slots and lose $300.
