Man, all my favorite singers are leaving this world. Makes me pretty sad. Some people may have never heard this but I'm going to share it in case someone hasn't. I loved listening to the Traveling Wilbury's.

Roy Orbison
George Harrison
Tom Petty
Bob Dylan
Jeff Lynn

I met George through Louise Harrison when I used to live in Sarasota, FL back in the early 90s. Great guy and loved his voice. He honestly believed music was the cure for everything in life. Roy was a favorite of mine growing up and I never got to meet or hear him in person. And, now Tom Petty....

Listen to the two links and tell me if you can honestly remember a more memorable group of voices playing together....?

At this point we have to assume TP started the Zombie Apocalypse as no one has been pronounced dead and alive so many times.

TP and the Heartbreakers were one on my favorites while I was in college. Was lucky enough to score 2nd row seats to a triple bill of
Boston, Ted Nugent and Petty. A couple years later caught him at the Garden with Dylan and Ron Wood.
Great shows. Rest In Peace. Give my love to Roy and George. The First Wilburys album is a top ten of mine.

Lets not forget what he fought for. I'm going off the top of my head, but his song called the last dj, was banned from being played. He didn't like how big companies controlled all the airwaves and what was played. I remember it as quite a controversy that he lost because you can't win what won't even be discussed.

Richard Petty you're thinking of, not Tom Petty.

I know, but I swear I have no idea
what Tom Petty ever sang, so I
pretend to not know who he was.

Is it a hump or a hurdle. I shall
pause at 19,999 and consider
the correct answer.
