I have also noticed this to be true. While a game might offer great odds, not everyone bothers to play them. A $1 table might have a lot of $1 hard ways (after all it is only a $1) or hop bets. Crazy, but true.

Yes. The Sharpie gambler looks at the Basic Strategy bets but the average player looks at the higher house-edge bets. Its clear that a casino is making more than just that 1.414 percent PassLine bet stuff. Scantily clad drink servers are there to lubricate those 1.414 percent bettors and induce them to listen to the stick man hawking the bad bets.
