I want to try out the "Loose Deuces Wild" video poker machine at D Las Vegas, but I'm not sure how to find out if it's still there. I won't travel there to try it out, obviously, if it's not there, that would be a waste. Is there any way to find out if that machine is still there? (I got the info on the machine from vpfree2.com, but I'm not sure how updated that information is). I'm sure if I call them, they're not going to know, let alone go out there and find it for me in order to check it out.

Thanks!

That Loose Deuce machine has been there for years and is very popular. I would think that if it were gone, someone would have reported it to vpFREE2. Of course, casinos can and do remove machines all the time. Maybe you can find someone who can check it out just before your trip.

By "there", I thought he meant "there" at that particular casino, not "there" at that particular machine at that casino. Plus I thought he might have just been posting randomly just to begin accumulating a posting history, because it kind of seemed too good to be true that he just happened to see my post after never having posted before and signing up only within this last month AND just happened to be at that particular casino.... So....

If that machine goes, VPFree2 will be the first to know, I'm sure.

And the machine has been there for years...

I'm assuming the only way it's going is if it keels over and dies.

At least last year, there were several machines with this game at Palms, Red Rock, and GVR. That should show up on VPFREE2, methinks. Now the downside, I believe, is that probably these particular machines probably don't count for much on points. I usually don't play these with my Players' Club Card. So in the big scheme of trying to collect perks and comps, these may not be the machines to play.

I used Wolf Poker to simulate 10 sessions of playing 1,752,000 hands (600 hands per hour for a year @ 8 hours per day) on a 100.76% machine @ $1 denomination, and my low was $19,130, and my high was $100,985. Not really going for perks and comps, just cash.

(Also, just FYI, the only 1 machine I found on VPFREE2 that will allow $1 bet on a 100.76% machine is not even in Vegas or any of those casinos you mentioned - I think the others you mentioned only go up to 25 cents).

I think you need to educate yourself on what you're talking about. There are a couple of HUNDRED 100.76 quarter machines in LV which take a 5 quarter bet ($1.25) per spin. Many of them have comps or cashback-none of them very much. All of them are much more better plays than that creaky nickel machine on the top floor of the Fitz/D. You better make sure you know the proper playing strategy for FPDW vs. Loose Deuces.

I'm just saying that the quarter machines only allow a $1.25 bet per spin, while the dollar machines allow a $5 bet per spin. You can't make nearly as much with a machine that only lets you bet a quarter than you can with one that lets you bet $1. So the higher the payout, the more important it becomes to look at the maximum denomination allowed.

I was thinking the same thing but I said F it and decided not to make a negative comment. You're a bad influence. If he thinks a slow nickel LD is to good to be true, wonderful.

I imagine he did a simulation or something and it looks like free easy money. After a few bad sessions, toss in mistakes and everything and a new realization will set in.
He will probably think it's gaffed.

However i'm not sure what much better one in Nevada your talking about? PM please

I did 100 simulations of 2,000,000 hands each, and I'm well aware that there are big swings. But in the long run, mathematically you're going to come out in the positive, even with mistakes. The big thing is just having the bankroll to deal with all the losses. (But I wouldn't do the nickel machine anyway. I thought it was a higher denomination originally when I posted...)

And that last post is hilarious, djatc, lol.

Then go play .25 FPDW and add in mail, its worth more way more per hr and it's less variance. Id be willing to bet you quit before you put in 1 month @ 8 hrs a day.

There's a guy who does it and posts about it on the net and makes $80K a year. If he can do it, anyone can do it.

I wouldn't do the .25 machines though. It's a max $20K a year, and if you did the $1 machines, it's max $100K a year (varying, of course), with about the same bankroll required as the .25 machines to make up for losses.

Stamina is definitely a consideration, though. But if he can do it, then anyone can, especially with that kind of earning potential...

Quarters FPDW would require 10526 hours of play based on 800 hands per hour with an advantage of 0.76%. That means you'd play 200 hours a week every week for a year. Unfortunately there are only 168 hours in a week so you'd have to play 2 machines, but this means you won't play double the amount, maybe 1.5 times the single machine for 1200 hands per hour. If you can swing that you will only need to play 7017 hours, which means 134 hours every week. This would leave you with 34 hours in a week to sleep, eat, drop an actual deuce in the toilet every now and then, buy hookers, etc. Not impossible but extremely improbable.

Of course you can double play the 25c 10 coin machines at Skyline, effectively running 2 times the coin in. Assume you'd play 1000 hands per hour on 2 machines at $2.50 per machine (they are old coindroppers so they play slower). Now you are looking at $19 per hour for 4210 hours in a year, or 80 hours in a week. This is doable since it's like working 2 full time jobs. Now you would have 88 hours to do what I wrote above so you do have some breathing room.

I agree with bobsims however, finding a $1 FPDW would be impossible in this day and age. Of course if you do you can double the 25c 10 coin if you can find 2 machines right next to each other, therefore you'd only have to play 40 hours a week. Luckily on $1 FPDW there are no handpays except for royals, maybe 4 deuces. I'd personally if I found such a scenario sell the information to some pro and collect a % of the win so I don't have to play it myself as there are more lucrative opportunities then playing video poker straight up.

I'm going to say the quarter "fleas" probably make less than $20k on FPDW quarters. It's better than working at McDonalds or some crappy minimum wage job but it won't get you rich.

Here's the perfect storm if you do find $1 FPDW. No heat, no competition, cash back, as well as comp balance (free rooms and food). Now you won't have any expenses on this play.

The only good dollar and above games you will find in Las Vegas are mistakes and they usually don't last long. There was a bar on Cheyenne in Las Vegas that had full pay dollar Deuces for about three months. The best games are generally found in smaller out of the way casinos around Nevada where there are a lot less informed players.

Just read about the exploits of MickeyCrimm in Montana. Those machines would not last long in Las Vegas.

Johnnyc77 I didn't mean you specifically. I apologize if you took it that way. Fpdw is a great fun low volatility way to make some money, but it is the lower level of AP. There are more plays in town which are far more lucrative (under 100% games with mailers). Although if you want to realize an advantage without experimenting around town or don't care to play for comps on the strip and have $30k $1 fpdw might be for you.

When I moved to town fpdw was all I played, but now with more plays and working with Axelwolf I don't have any time for quarter fpdpw unless I'm killing time at the palms or a stations.

10 to 1 nobody. Unless they have something to go with it anyone who has the knowledge, BR, time and dedication to really burn it down wouldn't be playing it much. It would probably be numerous APs hitting it off and on. If anything burns it out it will probably be the casino getting information regarding the machine that kills it. Or if the ploppys get lucky and start popping Royals.
