Give me $1.5 million right now and I will stop working next week.

The odds of filling out a perfect bracket are astronomical 1 in 9,223,372,036,854,775,808

That number is just one in 2^63

A No. 1 seed has never lost to a No. 16 seed in any of the four regional tournaments since 1985.

This professor says that if you make some reasonable guesses then the odds are 128 billion to 1. He doesn't elaborate

Now 2^(63-26)=137,438,953,472 or 137 billion which is close

If you can get the entire first round 2^(63-32)=2,147,483,648 or 2 billion to one.

PS Warren Buffet underwrote the insurance policy. They are not actually collecting a billion in cash and depositing it in a bank account.

It's 500 million, not a billion. Read the fine print. At 9 quadrillion to 1 against, Mr. Buffet is more likely to be abducted by aliens than have to pay it out. I entered. I had to give them my cell phone number... they texted me a code which I had to enter on a webpage to activate my bracket. So you need an active phone number to enter. I didn't enter for the billion, rather, the top 20 will get 100,000 each. That has an EV of around a dime for me....

As of this posting 16 perfectos. Duke killed many entries. A shame, I have them out vs, Tenn. who did win today.
Some people need to reimagine their thinking.

Five brackets got 31. Surprisingly, all five missed the same game - Duke.

One of the best free publicity stunts anyone has ever come up with. Though I guess in this case it really isn't free since they do have the 100k prizes.

They also had to pay for the policy that would pay the billion dollars.

Allegedly Buffet self insured. I would guess the fair cost of the policy would have been $1. I don't think he lost any sleep..... No one was perfect through the 32 'easy' games. Starting the second round more games are of the coin flip type.

2nd Round Blues...Dayton AGAIN. Could Syracuse drop a three, any three, three, Buhler?

And none of the five apparently got even six out of eight on Saturday. With one game remaining on Saturday, 16 brackets have 2 losses, and all of them are both first-round losses (usually choosing Duke over Mercer and either Oklahoma State over Gonzaga or New Mexico over Stanford).

I'm pretty much chum in the waters... UConn, Dayton, and a Harvard loss. Its funny how people go about this, I got Stanford, Harvard, Dayton, and Tenn. then VCU (good Defense) loses in OT due to 2-missed FT's and a 4-point play at the end of Regulation. That one still hurts. I couldn't pick Mercer or So. Dak. St. even on a lucky day. Tenn over Duke, now that happens. Harvard over Mi. St. that happens enough for a shot. I had 'NOVA in the final four... OUCH. That would be "The Dagger". lol

But its fun, a challenge, and a portrait of Lincoln donated for the cause. Salud!

“Brad’s Breathtaking Bracket,” Brad Binder, whose Twitter from Buffalo Grove, Ill., has managed to pick every Round of 64 game of the NCAA tournament correctly, from Florida down to Mercer.
