Yeah, I don't understand why a few guys here (I won't mention any names) like to criticize JJ so much. A couple of them criticized varmenti a lot less!!

Beethoven, are you saying that I'm varmenti? I come from the same town, you never know, though Mission has my IP addresses I am sure.

I think my portrayal is accurate though. She's asking us to vote for her in a contest. She's intonated that she's "available" if we are willing to give her some chips, room, and board. If she was successful in what she was doing (modelling), she wouldn't be teasing with us. She'd be going for bigger fish.

I explained myself. Jennifer simply isn't my cup of tea, that is all. I find people who use their body without using their brains unattractive, especially when I know that she has brains.

And I think I insulted myself too!

The apocryphal Craigslist exchange between a gold digging woman and a wealthy man:

The initial post:

What am I doing wrong?

Okay, I'm tired of beating around the bush. I'm a beautiful (spectacularly beautiful) 25 year old girl. I'm articulate and classy. I'm not from New York. I'm looking to get married to a guy who makes at least half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind that a million a year is middle class in New York City , so I don't think I'm overreaching at all.

Are there any guys who make 500K or more on this board? Any wives? Could you send me some tips? I dated a business man who makes average around 100 - 150. But that's where I seem to hit a roadblock. 150,000 won't get me to central park west. I know a woman in my yoga class who was married to an investment banker and lives in Tribeca, and she's not as pretty as I am, nor is she a great genius. So what is she doing right? How do I get to her level?

Here are my questions specifically:

- Where do you single rich men hang out? Give me specifics- bars, restaurants, gyms

-What are you looking for in a mate? Be honest guys, you won't hurt my feelings

-Is there an age range I should be targeting (I'm 25)?

- Why are some of the women living lavish lifestyles on the upper east side so plain? I've seen really 'plain jane' boring types who have nothing to offer married to incredibly wealthy guys. I've seen drop dead gorgeous girls in singles bars in the east village. What's the story there?

- Jobs I should look out for? Everyone knows - lawyer, investment banker, doctor. How much do those guys really make? And where do they hang out? Where do the hedge fund guys hang out?

- How you decide marriage vs. just a girlfriend? I am looking for MARRIAGE ONLY

Please hold your insults - I'm putting myself out there in an honest way. Most beautiful women are superficial; at least I'm being up front about it. I wouldn't be searching for these kind of guys if I wasn't able to match them - in looks, culture, sophistication, and keeping a nice home and hearth.

The Response:

Dear Pers-:

I read your posting with great interest and have thought meaningfully about your dilemma. I offer the following analysis of your predicament. Firstly, I'm not wasting your time, I qualify as a guy who fits your bill; that is I make more than $500K per year. That said here's how I see it.

Your offer, from the prospective of a guy like me, is plain and simple a crappy business deal. Here's why. Cutting through all the B.S., what you suggest is a simple trade: you bring your looks to the party and I bring my money. Fine, simple. But here's the rub, your looks will fade and my money will likely continue into perpetuity...in fact, it is very likely that my income increases but it is an absolute certainty that you won't be getting any more beautiful!

So, in economic terms you are a depreciating asset and I am an earning asset. Not only are you a depreciating asset, your depreciation accelerates! Let me explain, you're 25 now and will likely stay pretty hot for the next 5 years, but less so each year. Then the fade begins in earnest. By 35 stick a fork in you!

So in Wall Street terms, we would call you a trading position, not a buy and hold...hence the rub...marriage. It doesn't make good business sense to "buy you" (which is what you're asking) so I'd rather lease. In case you think I'm being cruel, I would say the following. If my money were to go away, so would you, so when your beauty fades I need an out. It's as simple as that. So a deal that makes sense is dating, not marriage.

Separately, I was taught early in my career about efficient markets. So, I wonder why a girl as "articulate, classy and spectacularly beautiful" as you has been unable to find your sugar daddy. I find it hard to believe that if you are as gorgeous as you say you are that the $500K hasn't found you, if not only for a tryout.

By the way, you could always find a way to make your own money and then we wouldn't need to have this difficult conversation.

With all that said, I must say you're going about it the right way. Classic "pump and dump."
I hope this is helpful, and if you want to enter into some sort of lease, let me know.

I only have one question. Why are you browsing the personals on Craigslist? Certainly it was not research for this thread ;)

If guys want to meet girls, just go hang out at a particular place often bar, pool hall, church, library, What ever you are good at or like doing. Hang out with friends. Become semi known around the place. Don't just go to pick up on chicks, they can smell that. Go to have fun, If by chance you happen to see someone that interests you go for it. Don't be a weirdo when you approach them. Most likely it will happen when you least expect it.

There are a bunch of cynics on here......

Just because marriage, buffets, rock concerts or reality TV doesn't work for everyone doesn't mean it is not a good way of bonding ones self to another for life?

It isn't surprising that the divorce rate in the US is predicted to be somewhere between 40 and 50% round about now although I don't know exactly what that figure is.

And I'm sure ace just loves the "no-fault law" that has now been accepted by every single one of the 50 states. now you can just say....."ahhhh stuff it, I have had enough of this" and off you go?!?!?!?!?

Really, seriously????

If you don't know whether you love the person, don't get married, don't get her pregnant so that you are coerced into a shotgun marriage. Stay single if you don't know.

Everything doesn't always have to be about archaic laws or the unfairness of who gets what and why for how much.......

Some people just want to be bonded to another, yes with a piece of paper......so what if you don't agree. Nobody forces anybody to do anything they don't want to.

Let people get married, let them not, let them live the single life for all eternity......who cares?????

Rant over :)

Very happy on your behalf that you have a great marriage. I envy you slightly. I don't know about ever marrying again. If I did, it would likely be to share my great health benefits or some prosaic reason like that. But I would enjoy a committed relationship such as you have, even without a marriage.

I guess my point was not as much about my marriage but just marriage in general. People can do and say what they want, within reason. That is part of what makes America great. If people choose to marry each other then let them. They should know going in that the chances are between 40 and 50% that they will land up in ace's office at some point........

Other than that, so what if people still enjoy the institution of marriage? Calling it outdated, archaic and all the other big words I don't understand for me reeks of cynisism and perhaps a little sour graps.....

Just my opinion of course!

That's exactly right!

The thing with JuicieJennie is that she gives off the impression of being someone who likes to, "Go clubbin'," as it were, which is really intimidating to me because I couldn't dance if you were shooting live rounds at my feet. I should also gather that she enjoys hip-hop music, as ladies of her young age tend to occasionally enjoy, and I can't even nod my head to such music in a way that doesn't come off as pretentious and embarrassing. In fact, I rather enjoy 90's rap from such artists as Puff Daddy (when he called himself that) and from my money-makin' players that aren't with us anymore, such as Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac and even nodding my head to that music is embarrassing!

I liked Tupac well enough to ignore the fact that he often replaced, "Tu," with the numerical value, "2."

But, yeah, definitely pretentious and embarrassing. Unfortunately, the only thing you can do that is worse than nodding to the music in a pretentious and embarrassing way is to sit there and do nothing like a 6'4" 210lb. gargoyle and that happens to be the most comfortable thing for me to do in such a, "Clubbin'," type situation.

I'm not down, G.

With Valeriya on the other hand, I've been thinking about exactly what my approach would have been all those years ago, and I think the first thing I would have done is asked her how the, 'y,' in her name works because it is throwing me off. After that, I might have said something like, "Do you want to go play tennis this Sunday and then get some ice cream?"

Young ladies like ice cream more than you would expect, most young ladies like ice cream more than Italian food. Playing tennis and eating at an ice cream parlor are also far less assuming activities than taking a young lady to some expensive restaurant, so everyone stays pretty comfortable and pressure-free. I also tend to advise not exactly giving the tennis match the effort of your life, but not letting her win, either.

omgg i loove tupac, B.I.G., Warren G, Bone Thugs etc! i think rappers back then were way much better and the songs too compared to all these new artists these days!!

Is there anything you won't do for attention, Jennifer? I like a good story as much as the next guy but Mission's swift response leaves no doubt that no one has carte blanche on this forum. Where would you stop if allowed to continue?

Let's go back to Miss Mint for a moment. Do you want to win or not? You asked forum members to like you but you no longer seem that enthusiastic. Did you understand the rules? That's not a dig because these things can be difficult, even for some attorneys.

One final piece of unsolicited advice. If the pizza delivery bit is the best you can get, it may be time to look for a new agent.

Saying you posted that story because someone told you to is akin to the dog ate my homework or they're not my drugs, I'm holding them for a friend. The same goes for posting all those pictures of yourself. They were going to get posted no matter what, were they not?

Let's not lose sight of the fact that that there are skeptics on this forum who want proof of everything from math problems to the existence of God. Yes, I capitalized God. I hope no one was offended. Can you understand why some here are skeptical of you? You're a 27 year old attractive, aspiring model. It's New Year's Eve, one of the biggest nights of the year. You're single. You spend this night of celebration, revelry and time with friends joining and posting on this forum. You are not on trial here, Jennifer, nor should you be made to feel that way, but it does raise questions. For example, you asked a question about blackjack, sort of, but have shown very little interest in the game.

Since you are amenable to doing what others ask, may I make a request or two? Will you join the Wizard's Diversity Tomorrow site? You have generated a phenomenal amount of interest here and I think you would do the same there. You would make some people very happy as it could be a major shot in the arm for the fledgeling site.

You say we don't know you. Would you like us to? I think it would be great if you would do an interview with Mission146. Questions for consideration could be submitted as they were for his previous interviews. I know I would have a few. I would hope that everyone would be sincere and respectful with their questions and that the usual suspects try to restrain themselves from goofy posts.

What say you, Jennifer? Mission?

It's ironic because a couple of critical people in this thread also posted in the "About welcoming new members" thread and complained about how poorly new members are treated. Guess they don't like taking their own advice. ;)

Guilty as charged. I was one of the first to welcome Jennifer. She asked if it was weird for a girl to gamble alone. This was my response: "It's not weird at all. I hope you'll stick around and make lots of blackjack posts".

All but the most blatant offenders deserve a decent welcome. It's what they do later that determines how they're treated from then on.

I don't know you, Jenny. I said that earlier. But I know enough about you that you've got brains. You're teasing with us with your provocative photos and toplessish video (which are quite hot). You asked us to vote for you in a contest that gets you 5K and got offended when members posted about other folks in the contest. If that ain't hustling, what is?

I don't know If I can disagree with what you said in that post. I can only see that is was definitely hurtful.(I don't want to reread it, I think I felt a slight punch in the stomach reading it the first time) I cant exactly explain in words why. It was how you said it. Its like, if a dumb kid calls or a troll, calls you something even worst. You may just disregard it. But, If someone with some credit or logic tells you something, it may be more hurtful.

Let me be clear, I think people have said more brazen things to her, then you. Yours was just so, as a matter of fact and well said from a seemingly intelligent person.

Again, If someone like Tournament king calls me an idiot, I would probably not give a rats ass, but if someone more astute(like you) explains why im an idiot, It might hurt.

I don't know why you're affected, AxelWolf.

It's up to JJ to choose how to react. I don't wish malice on anyone. Quite the opposite. I hope JJ finds great success with modelling and lands within the pages of Sports Illustrated or Victoria's Secret and that her antics on WoV is a part of her process. There's nothing wrong with aspiring and being on a path to success -- hell, it's the American dream. We all start somewhere. Heidi Klum likely had to win beauty contests and solicit just like JJ is doing now. And maybe JJ is extremely successful and just like to tease.

I haven't insulted her brains or her beauty. She has plenty of beauty, and my research tells me that she has plenty of brains too. She's just in a class of people that I don't connect with. There are others that eat this stuff up, and I can see how people can enjoy a real beautiful woman about to tell members on a gambling forum about a lesbian experience. True or false, it makes for interesting reading (and I hope there's an accompanying video somewhere).

For me, I try to figure out what stories are and fill in the blanks. I try to do that with the more interesting members on this site, and JJ tops the scale as far as "interesting" goes. It gives me perspective. When you post links to photobucket and post a first name, it's pretty easy with google to fill in the blanks. She knows what she is doing and is far more intelligent than her posts allude to on this site.

We all have personas that we want to project.

Some of these mathites/ap wiseguys are humorless, anal, cynical, and socially inadequate. Little wonder that some of em rarely get out from behind their computer keyboards and sims. And attempting to interact with an attractive young woman is a proposition thatc arries a serious negative expectation for some of these cats. So, hopefully you'll decide to stick around, hey hey.

I still don't understand why JJ cannot continue the story about her lesbian experience. We have the Adult Discussion section in this forum. It is OK to crack some silly adult jokes and talk about the strip club stuffs. But it is not OK to allow someone to share their real life stories. Talk about double standard!

She's just in a class of people that I don't connect with.

This is what im talking about. You have a way of saying things that are open to interpretation, but still leave yourself with an out(s). In this case, you added "that I don't connect with" this leave it very open to interpenetration for what you are trying say, one may think what you are really saying is, she is classless. You are then open to claim anything, even if what you really are trying to convey, is that, she is classless. I guess we could just call it double talk. You can go to both extremes is this case. You could simply say the class of people you don't connect with are, Beautiful, Smart, Wonderful people. Or you could say the opposite and that's the people you do connect with. In simple terms, you cover your ass.

I have zero animosity towards you what so ever, I'm not saying you are doing anything wrong, or your trying to play it this way. I'm just saying there may be some suspicion of, well spoken clever attempts at degrading. I'm just telling you what someone may read into some of your posts regarding this situation. And you should not be shocked at some of the reactions.

I tend to think I'm with BoyMimbo on this one, and I'm certainly not saying that these are characteristics I would necessarily attempt to ascribe to JuicieJennie, but rather, characteristics that many young ladies and gentlemen possess who share (positive) characteristics with JuicieJennie.

In my opinion, the question really comes down to one of approachability. I only wear World Industries or FILA skateboarding shoes because I think that they are the most comfortable, that, and they are dirt friggin' cheap ($30, new) and I see no reason to pay more than absolutely necessary for shoes if they are comfortable. I get the impression of these shared characteristics, and not to say JuicieJennie is like that, but I would take one look at her and would not approach her for any reason at all. I wouldn't say something innocuously friendly to her because my impression (appearance alone) is that she takes one look at the shoes that I am wearing and tells me to screw off.

The thing is that I am a reasonably attractive guy (6.5-7.0 out of 10) who dresses very poorly, I could dress well (money-wise) but I don't know how to dress well and I don't care to dress well. I have tried to dress well in the past and have failed, "Your suit jacket isn't supposed to be that big on you," and things like that. "You're not supposed to wear a shirt with a design as an undershirt under a white dress shirt because people can see the design through your shirt," that kind of crap, and a bunch of other crap that would never occur to me because I don't care enough.

Thus, there is a class of people that care enough and most of those people (60%?) have more money than I do, a few of them (20%?) have roughly the same amount of money I do, and a few of them (20%) have less. These are the people who care to a great degree about clothes and presentation to a fairly exclusive degree, there's nothing wrong with caring about it somewhat, I respect people that have decent style, (I like your beige jacket, Axelwolf) but I don't think anyone should care what anyone else is wearing from a standpoint of casting judgment.

Okay, so I have skateboarding shoes, jeans that are always too tight or too loose (depending on who you ask) and a friggin' zip-up Mr. Rogers Neighborhood sweater, and JuicieJennie has some of the characteristics of someone who really cares about that sort of thing, (though she may not) so I would not approach her or anyone else that I think really cares about what other people do. Some people, and again, JuicieJennie is very likely not amongst them, have no respect for me, even on the fundamental level of being a fellow human being, because of the way I dress. If I perceive that as a possibility, I'll avoid that person.
