I did a mini-stretch of living out of hotel rooms (about a month or so) and as long as you can find a place to do laundry it's a sweet life. No cleaning up, leave a few bucks here and there for amenities, and the casino is right downstairs. Free internet made it the nuts because I can download movies and watch them on my computer.

FYI they had a linked $1 bank of Max attack at the Horse Shoe down town it took only 1 4 of a kind to set it off into attack mode the next 4oak got 625 for the 4 of a kind. during attack mode I believe it was worth around 130% as well.

Gold River not only has .25 Flush Attack they had $1 linked flush attack. I believe the team Frankie worked for locked it up and killed it after a few days of play. =DUMB.

Yeah, those were before my time. Wow, four times the money. One AP that you and I know in common told me he made $100,000 in six months playing linked dollar Flush Attack at the Rio. The only dollars I ever seen was two unlinked Flush Attacks at John Ascuagua's Nugget and one unlinked Flush Attack in a little casino in Yerrington.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the Rio never had $ Flush Attack but I would not bet on it. I could be wrong but I definitely didn't see it, and the Rio was my first place since I turned 21 that I realized I may have a wonderful life changing advantage, 6 months later quit my job and never worked again. I guess they could have yanked them prior but left the .25 FA

BTW stratosphere had 8/6 linked Flush Attack instead of 8/5. Some guys usually action junkie AP's not so smart ones, considering most of them are now broke would go there at 2 or 3 am and play straight through, hoping no one would jump the light. If no one did jump in it was a fair play. I guess there was some honor among thieves and most AP's left them alone. Imagine If you didn't like someone who was playing straight through (; I imagine snapping them off would have a Royal flush hit like feeling. Ya... definitely that's what it felt like.
come to think of it Stratosphere had all kinds of good VP 10/6 jacks comes to mind. Even before that Vegas World had good VP

There was another advantage slot called Bingo. It was manufactured by a small company, the name of which escapes me. It was a five reel, five line video slot game. You could bet up to five coins per line. Above the reels was a bingo card. You could pick your own pattern, anything from a regular bingo up to a coverall. The bingo balls came out on the reels, the B's on the first reel, I's on the second reel, N's on the third reel, etc. If the ball matched a number on your bingo card then it filled that number in. When you made your bingo you got a bonus. The size of the bonus was based on the amount off action the machine got since the last time a bingo was made. So the trick to the game was playing off partial patterns that people left. And you only bet one coin a spin, while the prior player was betting multiple coins per spin. It was a huge advantage.

Bingo and Safe Cracker were both games by CDS. I saw some Bingo games still in Las Vegas about two years ago at Mermaids.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Love Mick's stories and I am sure you have good ones to tell as well. Why not put them out there if they cannot hurt your current income unless you are looking to sell them. And if you are are, count me as a buyer. You guys lived and created the Golden Age of AP and I for one love to hear about it.

Babs, right now I'm on an extended road trip with Al and working (playing machines) long hours every day. We don't expect it to end for another five weeks or so. Then I'm in for an extended vacation. A vacation to me is laying around the pad doing nothing, or watching T.V., or analyzing machine games at my leisure, or downing shots at the bar, or sleeping for long hours. You know, just relaxing for awhile. I'm gonna take a long time off. There are some stories in this road trip. I'll be glad to tell some more stories on WoV when my vacation time comes. Take care.
