Have not stayed here since I was a child with my parents - does the Tropicana have a swimming pool that is open 24 hours?

They certainly had a 24 hr pool in 2006 or so. I was very nice to be able to use after running an Olympic qualifying event all god damn day and night. I haven't the faintest clue why the previous poster says it's a terrible idea.

According to the Tropicana website, their pool is open 7 days a week from 10am-6pm.

Which seems like it closes kinda early. Fall hours, perhaps?

A hotel that had a 24 hour pool would get my business. I hate swimming with kids or under the hot sun. 10pm to 6am are the nicest hours, assuming the pool water is warm .

I've stayed several places that allowed us to use the pool late, even after posted hours, as long as we didn't make any noise, even normal.conversation. The primary issue for them was that night air plus pool/concrete directly under room windows meant the sound was amplified and an irritant to other guests.

I would think it's become an insurance issue. Even with posted use at your own risk signs, there may be a clause that certain hours have to be kept. But IDK. Might just be people who can't resist making a party out of being in a pool.

Yes I had heard about their 24 hour pool, was hoping Tropicana still has it, for a future trip.

She was surprised when we were in Vegas recently (only her second trip there) that the pools closed basically at dusk at the Venetian. To someone new to Vegas, I suppose it would seem that everything should be 24 hours open.

I would enjoy a pool that was open at night, but not 24 hours. Maintenance is important to me.

The late Fall is often still warm enough to swim outside, but by Thanksgiving it’s too cold for most, even in the daytime. So I can understand if it can’t be outdoors and year round.

Most of the Vegas pools that I've seen are only deep enough to bring the water up to your waist while you enjoy your drink. You could certainly keep that open and let people drink 24/7 without having to deal with insurance issues.

Stew Leonard's kid died in a crowded pool in less than a foot of water, as.I recall.

Alcohol and liability insurance has pretty much took care of that option. During summer, most pools close by 7p. By September, many close at 6p.

I can imagine a pool at 3am would basically be an orgy.

1. Liability and/or staffing
2. They want you gambling

So those things weren't considerations in 2006?

Harrah’s in AC has a really cool pool under a glass dome that they turn into a nightclub at night.

You can swim until like 4:30 AM when the club closes. Don’t expect any peace and quiet, though.

People drunkenly fall in fully clothed all the time.

Maybe they tried it and found it was a bad idea?

There’s a reason no other Vegas pool does it, right?

I don't know if there is a distinction from the pool, but I love getting in the hot tub first thing in the morning. Especially if it is cooler.
I got a plan, we take all your picks we reverse them like one of those twilight zone episodes where everything is the opposite. You say "black" we go white.

A hot tub cooler than the pool? I've been in some pools that seemed too warm in the sun, but what kind of spa do you attend?
