100 pieces, 1590g (3.5 lbs)
4800 Calories
320g fat (490% DV)
2g Trans fat (no DV; trans fats were just banned by the FDA because they strongly correlate with coronary heart disease[1])
50g Saturated fat (250% DV)
700mg Cholesterol (230% DV)
9000mg Sodium (370% DV)

Question how much of that would remain in your body even if you did voluntarily purge after 60 minutes.

[1] "Results of four major prospective studies, some with one or more updates during the followup period, consistently show higher trans fat intake associated with increased CHD risk."

Party pooper!!!

Anyways back to the subject at hand. I am willing to not believe in Maxpens ability to complete this challenge so upping Axel wager, I will risk $200 at 6-1 so you can earn $2200 while risking only $400 total with our 2 wagers. And if you are not sure I am willing to send the $1200 to the Wizard in advance. No risk to you on my end and I know if you take the bet, you are good for the $200. Let's do this!

I think you understand that correctly. The standard challenge here at WOV is eat 100 McNuggets in 60 minutes and you must keep them down for an hour from the time you eat the last one. You can have drinks of your choice and use any McDonald sauces you choose with the nuggets.

MickeyD's is definately not beneath me, I grab a drive-thru lunch burger there at least once a week I'm sad to admit. My kids like the food, used to be nuggets but now they want burgers. I could eat 50 nuggets and keep them down, no problem. 100 nuggets is a lot of nuggets. The odds are OK, but it would have to be a much bigger bet. Feelin' like Cool Hand Luke about now.....

Larger bet, less odds and a confirmation in person of you and your ability to cover wager but I am up for it and while I don't speak for Axel, he probably is in as well for a larger "friendly" wager. Let's do this!

Look, if he's in his 20s, go for it. I know that if I tried that today, I'd probably be laid up for 2-3 days eating nothing but kale and Pepto-Bismol. (A new smoothie coming soon to Jamba Juice...)

FWIW the food is absolutely the best part about Club Fortune. Put me in the group of people who say it's great. In terms of Henderson casinos, El Dorado and My Casino (RIP) were the worst. I haven't eaten at Rainbow Club. Wildfire is OK but it's pretty much just burgers. Joker's Wild is OK. Emerald Island is good, though some of the things can be hit and miss (I recall some beef on pasta thing in a sweet pineapple sauce as a "special" that was just disgusting).

Club Fortune has consistently been the best. Ask about the lunch special, it's usually under $4 and is good. Prime rib sandwich (think french dip on a hamburger bun), pot roast sandwich, etc. Good New York strip, good burgers, amazing grilled chicken. Their chili and soups are really good and yes that corn cake is worth mentioning too.

Not backing off. The 6-1 was on $200 with Max but willing to match Axel at 5-1 for a larger amount on you as the poster. Just covering my ass but if the stakes are going up to a higher level I need some verification on who you are. Not questioning your integrity but if the stakes are high enough it might be worth it for a sharp to hire a professional eater. Sorry but I'm not a a Titanic Thompson mark, lol.

I always want to meet the person before I make a Mcnugget bet, because this is absolutely possible, many people have done it. I wouldn't blindly give odds to someone I have very little information about. There's regular members here, who I haven't meet, I would probably make a blind MCnugget bet with, but they are probably not crazy enough to attempt it.

I have meet max in person he's a good guy, reliable, humble, fun to hang with and he's got a brain. But I think he's underestimating how hard it is.

Not counting competitive eaters, or some oddball person. I tend to think the people that are able to do this, work out and do some weight Training.

Max is not a small guy he can probably eat a fair amount.

I probably should've only went 3.5 to 1. He may have taken it.

I suspected he wouldn't even attempt it unless he had significant motivation so I jumped right to 5 to 1. For future reference, Don't anyone expect to get 5 to 1 from me.

OMG Boz why are you offering him better odds? He probably would've gone for 4.5 to 1, just to get more action. I don't think losing an extra $200 (If he fails) will matter to him. The chance to win 2k and a " I told you so.... and club fortunes food suck" was probably more than enough.

I will stick to my offer. However I want to have a 2 week deadline as already stated.

If he's seriously considering it, lets start a new thread and someone PM Mike. I bet he hasn't seen this yet. He's probably going to want action.

Whether or not Mr. Eye got sick because of something he ate at Club Fortune is so of irrelevant to me (no offense MissEye).

Emily's is Diner quality food. I happen to like diner/café eating. I would say three of my favorite's are Emily's, Jerry's Nugget coffee shop, and Snaps at Eastside Cannery. That's just me. I am a burger and fries or meatloaf kind of guy. I go to a steakhouse and order chopped steak. Lol.

I think Emily's is pretty decent for the value. If someone like MaxPen or MissEye thinks it is beneath them, that's fine. Only thing I am having trouble with is that MissEye thinks Emily's sucks but thinks Rainbow has good food. That seems a strange one to me.

To anyone who eats at Emily's or is heading there because of this thread.....Order a milkshake. Not on the menu, but they have really great milkshakes. Yummy.

Never said it was beneath me. I just don't care for it when there are better options at the same price point. That's my opinion. Still like their bar :)

Agree with starting a new thread, but I will never back off a bet I make, the offer to Max stands based on what I know about the challenge. Win, lose or draw, I see it as a good bet. Time will tell. But I am always learning, Thanks for the advice on value! And you know I mean it.

There's not a same price point, because its free an in some cases its +EV. Add it to a few match plays and it's better value than anything nearby.

Again I'm not saying it's some fantastic place. I wouldn't seek it out and pay for it. I wouldn't seek out and pay for any of the other places you mentioned either. If I'm paying, I'm going somewhere like Cleo or Osaka. If I want american food I'll go to M&M or some local place.

Emerald Island had mostly bad pay-tables last time I was there and no pit. Anything good was on low denominations under .25

Boz, and Axel. Yous guys are a hoot! Don't know how I ever even got into this thread, much less into a bet (which I haven't made yet). I hadn't considered sending McDaddy in to take the challenge, my mind doesn't work that way. Obviously both of yours do work that way so I'm not sure it's safe to bet against you at any odds ;-)
I'm stuck in Atlanta caring for 10 and 12 yr old sons for the summer, so I can't really sneak off to Vegas at the moment on a whim, or a silly bet. But I'd love to! School starts in mid-Aug, my schedule is a bit easier then, but the Mrs Feathers probably ain't going to let me sneak away then either. I've had a couple bad weekends this year and she's not happy. Oh no precious, not happy at all ;-( For the record, I'm 60 years old, weigh 185-190, and have never even considered getting involved in any sort of a 'eating contest' . I do have a bit of Native American blood, but not that much. Whiskey works, scotch I will drink until, well, usually till the bottle's empty ;-)

If/when I get a chance to get out that way, I'll let you know I'm coming.

I never pay for food at Emerald but I do enjoy hanging there. I don't worry about pay tables, just enjoy playing a little for cheap with a good beer and chatting with the crazies at the bar. I admit I'm partial, they're like my home away from.

While the challenge is enticing I will have to respectfully decline. I have never eaten a McNugget in my life until tonight. I went and got a 20 piece. The smell was wretched, however, I was motivated to check them out. There is some kind of chemical in them that starts to burn your mouth after about the 5th one and the texture is revolting. I ate the twenty real quick and thought no problem for the (10) ten packs required for the challenge but do to the chemical factor I decided to wait a little before accepting. Glad I did as I actually feel ill right now and it has been a couple hours. I don't think I would have a snowballs chance in hell of getting past 60 of those things before they came back up.

As Axel so astutely pointed out this is a challenge that could easily be underestimated. So no need to start a new thread regarding this on my part.

I feel like I just thwarted a pickpocket...lol ;-)

The world record is 120 in 12 minutes. Many professional eaters could crush that quantity. I'm pretty sure I understand why they haven't as I sit here sweating a trip to the bathroom from a measly 20.

First day of training is the most difficult MaxPen. Remember Rocky struggling to climb those art Museum steps, all doubled over, holding his mid section. At the end he went racing up 2 or 3 at a time. :)

Actually, I am not encouraging you to reconsider. I am an anti-chemical guy myself. I won't dare touch a diet soda, or even allow my partner (who could definitely benefit from a few less calories) to do so because of chemicals in them. You made the right call.

I have to make a confession. I am 49 years old and I really like McDonald's McNuggets. I drink, I smoke, I gamble and I could care less about my health. After 21 operations (or 22, I have lost count) and the fact I have been declined for life insurance for the last three years, I just wish I could attempt the challenge. Sadly, I don't think I could beat DJATC's embarrassing attempt. I have eaten 20 nuggets and could maybe do 30 if I pushed myself.

I am just jealous of those of you who think you could do it. I have done much stupider things in my life and just wish I could realistically attempt this. With that said, I am pretty much going to bet against everyone until I see it done.

It is actually the opposite. I am very happy with the myself and the quality of my life and I am not willing to sacrifice that just to live a little longer.

It is ironic. I tend to think people that are always worried and concerned about things are the ones that are not happy with their lives.

I think it's normally $2.50 where I live (you may have to buy 20 for $5 to get that price), but without the fries.

The WoV record is 88, right (and this was done after running two miles - and the running plus the eating had to be done within the same hour, along with finishing two New York Times crosswords, although I think those were done while eating)? My personal best is 40, but I seriously doubt I could get to 50, much less 100 - besides, in Vegas, if I'm going to go "all you can meat," I'll head off to Fogo de Chao or Texas de Brasil, even if it is more like $50 as opposed to $10.
