M has a lot of great restaurants, I particularly enjoyed the steakhouse. My only complaint with M is that their 24/7 cafe now closes at 10pm. They do have a deli that is open 24 hours but it's not as good IMO.

For the money, the buffet at M is one of the best in town. I haven't been there for breakfast yet, but I had dinner there on a Monday night. I wanna say it was $22/adult ($1 discount if you show your M player card). The selection is outstanding (miles and miles of food) and the quality was really great.

The Veloce was amazing. They have an incredible Ahi Pizza - I've never had anything else like it. I was surprised that their corkage fee for bringing your own wine was $25 though. I guess those cork screws take specially trained skilled labor to operate.

Wife and I browsed through M around Christmas, 2009. We ate at the coffee shop: i thought the food was thoroughly ordinary. Service was slow (I think we caught them at shift change). Pleasant enough atmosphere though.

Just had the breakfast buffet at M on 09/21/10. For the money this is the best buffet in town. $9.99 for breakfast gets you a higher quality breakfast than most strip buffets. M had a carving station with ham and tri-tip, as well as some small flat iron steaks. Plenty of fruits and other normal breakfast items. Bacon was excellent, not half fat like many other places. They had an omellette station and the cook gladly made me two eggs over easy to put on my steak.

The trick here, which was told to us by an employee there, is to go at around 9:30am. You pay the breakfast price and start with breakfast items. Then at 10:00am they switch to lunch and if you're still there you can eat the lunch items with no hassle. Lots of salads, meats, sandwiches, roasted chicken, turkey, etc.

I'm heading back to Las Vegas in November and will absolutely eat at least one meal at the M, probably more.

Had the breakfast buffet on 1/30/11 (correction, 1/29/11). I didn't note the regular prices, but apparently, it $29.99 per person due to the special "seafood" offerings. Fortunately, they were running a two-for-one special, but still, $15 for breakfast is steep.

There were signs advertising that they were voted best buffet in the LVRJ, and I have to admit, their offerings were pretty impressive. The main serving area splits the room with a curvy, spilled milk outline. High on one wall is a bank of video screens projecting nature scenes in vivid colors, as well as soundless feed from the Food Network cable channel (they were running "Worst Cook" or something like that at the time). The dining room is bright due to a bank of north facing windows. It was very pleasant.

soft drinks/coffee/tea/juice were served by a wait staff. Our server was quick and pleasant. Used plates were cleared quickly everytime I got up.

The carving station had great prime rib and tri tip. There was also another station with turkey, and chicken. The seafood was mainly snow crab legs (hot and cold), as well as shelled shrimp. They were also serving a mahi mahi cooked on bamboo, that was pretty tasty.

The price included wine, beer, apple cider, or a root beer served by an attendant at a station. The dessert island was also very impressive, with miniature versions of many sweet treats. I appreciated the portion sizes, as it really cut down on waste (but added to the waist).

I have never eaten at the M buffet, but I have had breakfast several times at their cafe. I think at least one visit they said they were not operating the buffet for breakfast any more -- not sure how long that lasted. Zcore13 and Ayecarumba describe significantly different prices for the breakfast buffet: $9.99 vs. $29.99 (though discounted by half for a special).

Ayecarumba, are you saying that they had crab legs for breakfast? Or were you there late enough for it to have been converted to a lunch buffet? Perhaps things were quite different because you were there on a Sunday. I know some Sunday buffets are pricier and are called "brunch" buffets and may include champagne.

I'm sorry, it was actually Saturday, the 29th about 10:30 am when I ate there. I guess it could have been a brunch, but they didn't have any signs advertising it as such, and there wasn't any champagne service, but there was wine and beer. I don't know if that is unusual for them to have alchohol service, as it was my first time, and I am not a drinker. The root beer was tasty though.

I would recommend calling ahead to confirm the price. I was shocked even with the club card 2-for-1.

As a side note, a Hash House A Go Go is now open in the M.

Edit#2: I just checked their website, and it is a "seafood brunch" on Saturday and Sunday from 9am - 2:30 pm. The weekday breakfast buffet is indeed $9.99 and is served from 7am - 10:30am, M-F. See the schedule and prices here

Yes, I ate there during the week each time. One great little hint... sign up for their email club on their website and you get free and discount stuff via email all the time. 1/2 buffet's, discounts on rooms, etc. Well worth the 2 minutes it takes.

The site you linked to is for a place at The Tropicana in Las Vegas. The Trop website specifically the dining section will have more info on the actual restaurant.

On a side note, maybe one of the admins could move this to the Tropicana thread.
