A real sports fan will watch Oberlin play Bladwin Wallace even if they have never heard of either team.

i don't qualify as a real sports fan in your book - and that's okay - maybe I'm not one

my favorite 2 sports - basketball and football - I love to see played on the highest level

like the Warriors when they had the 3 superstars

sometimes I'll be watching even a high level game such as UNC vs. Duke - and I'll see these slow big men - usually power forwards

I'm like "get outta there" - I'm not gonna watch this junk

Curious who you consider to be the third superstar on the Warriors Durant era teams? Steph and KD obviously, after that I see three deserving all stars (Green, Klay, Iguadola) who will be hall of famers with debatable at best credentials to get in but gifted based on the titles, imo none of those three would be superstars or ever a top 15 player.

I was referring to Klay

their championship year 2017 - he got 22.3 p.p.g. only 3 less than Curry

he shot .516 on his 2s and .414 on his 3s and .853 from the line - his 3 % was higher than Curry's that year

you don't consider him to be a superstar - whatever - it's not important to me - I called him one - don't really care whether he actually was one - I loved watching him shoot

I guess the term “superstar” is a bit of semantics or arbitrary, I was just genuinely curious if you were referring to Klay or Draymond. I think both COULD qualify but it’s debatable. I honestly struggle with if him or Draymond is the overall better player, I just don’t know, they’re both elite in their skill sets but aren’t asked to do much of anything outside their strengths. He’s as good as it gets for a quick catch and shoot skill on the move arguably best in history at that specific skill. Draymond was as good as it gets on the defensive end of the floor.

You can argue either is a superstar, they both were absolutely elite of the elite in their role, would be interested to see what would have happened to either’s career without so much talent around them being asked to contribute more.

Klay holds the NBA record with 37 points in one quarter surpassing Wilt who got 31 in '62

Hey no debate on a one hand list of greatest catch and shoot movement shooters in history. I’d be willing to bet his scoring average is higher per dribble or per amount of time of ball in his hands than any player in NBA history (with a minimum 10 Ppg) and it’s probably not close.

Can he handle the ball at the level of a league average guard, or create shots for teammates other than opening up driving lanes just by saying he gravity of his guy sticking to him? We don’t simply and won’t ever know, he was never asked to, Steph and Draymond always handled the ball. Steph is easily has top 5 ball-handling in the league, it’s why he’s an MVP and Seth is a fringe starter despite their shooting being in the same league.

In Vegas tomorrow
May post, probably not lol

How 'bout at least a little Trip Report ? Staying anywhere cool ? Any interesting activities lined up ?

In Vegas
It would be boring
I dont gamble anymore
Games like Bac are dumb, stupid, uninteresting and the house has an unbeatable advantage
Rather play chess or Civilization 5 if in a gaming mood
Usually not into gaming unless the weather is crappy.
Would much rather be outside hiking or biking.
Just hiked Muir Woods. Spectacular.

Too bad, you would have cleaned up on the last couple Terp/Irish women's hoops games!

This may be the year for MD Women's basketball
Really looking forward to this season
Ranked 4 with the toughest schedule in the country
Go Terps
I'm expecting a lot of joy and happiness this season.
Love my Terp message boards. The don't practice censorship like its practiced here.

It wasn’t about the bet, I don’t bet sports. It was about the friendly wager creating a connection with someone whom I don’t know, but also just know that if we met in person we would enjoy our time together.

Travel well, friend!

I'd be open to another friendly wager with you
Unfortunately the chances of a Md Noter Dame game slim
Should know if MD is the real deal in a few weeks. They play 7 , 5 and 3 ranked teams in a couple of weeks.

errata: deleted original "think again" because I mistakenly thought you were referring to EB. BR seems quite sane.

Hey Wiz, did you like BM this year?

I would vote for that. I have certainly clashed with Bill Ryan many times over the years, but I miss him.

I think there are far too many. I'm okay with that and don't care, but blacks are definitely overrepresented on television.

Good for them, I guess.
