How about a "Gambling News of the Day" thread where you pick the top story, post it, and see if it starts much additional discussion. People can post on that issue or previous ones, just like in the "Misc" thread without a daily thread that gets little traction. Some days there may be two items...but pick ones you think are worth some discussion.

This will limit the number of new threads and also give a way to discuss the top news of the day in the gaming business,

Hi AxelWolf,

I does not mean it that way.

I does not want to be a d*ck.

So then whats up with all this then, please explain? I don't have anyone blocked and I don't want to start with you, I might miss something I'm actually interested in. But, it's annoying to see the recent threads section all junked up with with all this BS. You do realize some people navigate the forum based on recent threads(at least I do)? Especially, when there are threads already stated with some of this stuff and most of it isn't worthy of its own thread. Example, there is already a thread JAMES HOLZHAUER ON JEOPARDY yet you felt the need to start a new thread called JEOPARDY!” CHAMP JAMES HOLZHAUER and post a link.

It's as if you are on autopilot and don't care just as long as you get multiple posts up. Do you have some kinda side bet to see how many new threads you can start? Can you explain what the deal is with all this?

I know for me I look at the recent threads and don’t go much past those so if you create 8 new threads everyday then the recents are all those instead of the active recent threads. It seems to me that you already asked if you could do what you are attempting to do. Assuming someone did give you permission, I wonder if they realized the extent and how annoying it would be to the other members.

Personally, for the most part, I don't care if people advertise(or whatever you want to call it), this, that or the other thing. Just be upfront, and let us know whats up. I know why I missed the JAMES HOLZHAUER ON JEOPARDY Thread.

Because I have Block that Thread sometime ago, as it was no interest to me, and just noticed it when you pointed it out to me (and I then unblock it and add the News to it). http://bit.ly/2ZVRd6k

Hope this clarified why I missed the JAMES HOLZHAUER ON JEOPARDY Thread.

You’ve only created 3 new threads today. Why the slowdown? I hope everything is ok.

Hi michael99000,

All is OK.
I will just like to do the (Todays News threads) and upto 3 more threads (Properly 0, 1 or 2) per day, as I don't have too much time to do a lot of threads.

Thanks for Asking.

Post in threads that already exist. 1-in-6 of your posts are new threads.

If he's gone to putting everything in one thread, why worry about it? You block that thread if you don't like it. End of your problem.

As I see it, it isn't even necessary that he find every relevant thread, as long as he doesn't start multiple new ones every day.
There's no secret. Just know what you're talking about before you open your mouth.

Hi rxwine,

You have a good point there.

P.S. I do that sometime, and if I don't like the author, I block him/her too.

Big surprise, he's made THREE NEW THREADS since my post. And that is him "slowing down". smh

Hi RS,

What I put up is Todays News.
That does not mean I like the SUBJECT.

BTW, I put-up a lot of Todays News, that does not mean I like all the SUBJECT.
I just want to put-up Todays News regardless if I like it or not (Otherwise it will be, News that I Like and not Todays News)

So you start threads on subjects you do not like? That's some dedication right there.

What made you suddenly think the forum needed a new thread for each of these news items ?

And even if the mods aren’t going to stop you, I’d think multiple people expressing how annoying they are would.

I like Reading Gaming News (I think some member here may like it too) and they may not like the subjects that I like, So I put up all subjects including the ones I don't like.

So. I believe Stephen has heard you all. He's agreed to consolidate the news into a single daily thread, and limit his new threads otherwise.

I think, with those modifications, it's time to stop bashing him for,

wait for it,

adding gaming content to a gaming forum. So let's see how that goes for a bit.

Stephen,

Be sure to either quote people in full (it's a rule here), or indicate you have excerpted their post, please. It was important to me to say the last thing in there (that you cut), which was, "let's see how it goes for a bit (with these modifications)". We may need to revisit this - and I need you more than anyone to know that. Thanks.

Posting stuff from what you can get from a daily email newsletter seems a little lame. Providing the email news website or signup link might be more appropriate.

I can post a few if members are looking for them.
