Depending on how many gold chips you have, I think this is a pretty good reward:

We stayed on a Sunday/Monday (my myVegas) and a Tues/Wedn (Mrs Q's myVegas) a week ago. We had to pay the Resort Fee, which was $ 52.40 per night, if I recall correctly.

I have always wanted to stay at Bellagio, so that moves this off of the TO-DO list and onto the DONE list.

Personally, I prefer PARIS to BELLAGIO. I think it is just easier to do miscellaneous little things on the other side of the Strip, like popping into Walgreens for alcoholic supplies, grabbing a sandwich at the Earl of Sandwich in Planet Hollywood, etc, etc, etc. The quality of the room we got at each property was similar.

So generally speaking it seems like myVegas has been a desolate, Mad Max wasteland of decent rewards for the past few months.

With the EXCEPTION of.....

.....Hotel nights.

I have always wanted to stay at Cosmo or Aria or even Mandalay Bay. ( We are knee-deep in the Caesars Total Rewards Program, so most of our Nights in Vegas are spend at one of their properties ).

So for our next trip I got 2 nights at ARIA through myVegas, just paying the Resort Fee + Taxes. I'm happy with that. I had built up enough Gold Chips before the change to collecting them got tightened up so much.

My list of "Places I have Stayed at over the Years" is gonna go up a notch:

https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/off-topic/general/7756-list-of-places-i-have-stayed-at-over-the-years/9/#post492089

Stay tuned.

One problem is, a lot of the rewards aren't for Vegas.

Agreed, one of MANY problems. I'm not sure how their business model has lasted this long, we feel we have gotten a lot of value out of it in free shows over the years.

And now it looks like 2 Nts at ARIA or BELLAGIO was too good of a deal ? OR we are simply moving into the busier summer / vaccinated season and those offers went away for those reasons. Anyway, I don't see it anymore for 2 nights:

Using my account and Mrs Q's, we will be at ARIA 3 nights on our next trip.

Could just be Vegas is getting super busy again and they are tightening up the free MyVEGAS rooms.

I was there Memorial Day weekend and it felt like the busiest I’ve ever seen it. I literally had to stand there and watch a Pai Gow table at the MGM for over an hour before a seat opened up. (Turned out to be a very profitable session, so it was worth it!)

Anyway, you should definitely give Mandalay Bay a shot sometime. Definitely my favorite MLife property during pool season.

Yes, thanks for the tip. It is on my "list", slightly behind Red Rock.

Well i think the catch is that you can’t always keep yourself up and running for most of it since there are some others who can even try to lead you off the next lead in the long run. That is why you can always count on other people to keep on trying their best to do a lot of work and still get some failed stuff at the end.

So just when I thought myVegas had turned into a complete TURD that needs to be flushed down the toilet, I got the Tournament of Kings Show reward for me and my wife.

And then I found out it isn't good for the days we will be there ( the wording is always a little confusing to me on the "redeem by" ).

BLACK-OUT DATES:

DECEMBER 2021: 12/7, 12/14, 12/20, 12/22, 12/23, 12/24, 12/25, 12/26, 12/27, 12/28, 12/29, 12/30, 12/31.

Which spans the entirety of our next trip. Aaaarrrgggghhhh.

Flush away !

The Tuesdays I understand, as that is the show's normal dark day (12/21 is an exception), and I can also see why they would leave out 12/24-27, as that is when they have the special Christmas menu (Cornish game hen, corn on the cob, roasted squash, pumpkin pie tartlet), but there are tickets available for the rest of the dates, so I don't see why they would be blacked out. The show itself is off all of 1/4-11; presumably it has something to do with CES being 1/3-8?

So just when I thought myVegas had turned into a complete TURD that needs to be flushed down the toilet,

.....I find myself looking for a hotel in San Diego for a couple nights for an upcoming trip, and BAZINGA, SYCUAN Casino is 27 miles and 42 minutes from the San Diego Airport. I was planning on getting a rental car anyway.

Woot woot.

2 weekday nights = 100K myVegas. So ballpark that's $ 250 in value if I had to book a mid-level hotel somewhere. Not too shabby considering there are practically no myVegas "rewards" I am interested in left for Vegas.

h

If you have never stayed there it is a nice property. The downside is that it is not very convenient if you will be going to San Diego daily.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Yes, I will be going to San Diego at least once and probably twice, but I am OK with that. Hopefully I can end up a few dollars in gambling there. THANKS for your input.

Trip Report for SYCUAN Hotel available on myVegas is here:

https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/trip-reports/36955-sycuan-casino-in-el-cajon-ca-san-diego/#post841823

I didn't do any of the FREE BET redemptions because I figured it would be a better value to save points for another hotel stay in the future.
