Even though I don’t have expo tickets yet, I’m gonna be in Vegas.

Anybody else going? Anybody have a link for tickets yet?

Any ideas for a Wizard dinner and group gambling?

FYI. I get to town Sunday, will spend 2 nights downtown, then 2 nights on the strip, and head home on Thursday night red eye.

Thread bump.

Kinda hard to accept that one month later, with over one hundred views, and less than one month to go, nobody commented on this thread. If there was an alternate thread, I wouldn't be so surprised, but, what's going on?

I STILL don't have expo tickets. Maybe this year, free expo tickets aren't going to be available. Considering the Covid situation, that's a real possibility. But can anyone confirm this?

Regardless, I hope that there will still be a Wizard dinner and gambling. Any comments on that?

If there is an expo, I'll go and happy to do a Wizard dinner.

Speaking of which, I still don't have tickets. Normally there are free pass codes being quietly passed around. Anybody have one? Please PM me if you do.

I didn't see this thread until now. No wonder prices for that week at the Cromwell jumped.

I'll be in Vegas that week (arriving Monday afternoon; leaving Friday morning), but most of my time is already booked riding buses and chasing chips and dice for my collections.

A WoV member sent me a link via PM that worked. THANKS.

Because it's a PM, I'm respecting that, and not posting it - although I DID share it with the Wiz (which, I now realize, was probably a duplication of efforts).

If there is an expo...

There always was an Expo planned. Tickets are $229. I was worried that there wouldn't be a free pass anywhere.

Should we discuss that here, or start a new thread? I'm open to either day. I don't know if it's open yet, but something replaced Toby Kieth's place at Harrahs that we liked...

I got the Cromwell for free (plus $45) when I booked in April. G2E dates were announced well before that.

Right now Bally's, Linq and Flamingo are $9 (plus $45).

Thanks for the help with the pass Miplet. I have jumped through their hoops and am awaiting the Email link to verify the request.

As to the WoV dinner, let's discuss that here. I expect it will be a small group. To just say anything, how about Wed., Oct 6. I am open to anything in terms of location. We should probably keep a specific location on a need-to-know basis.

    Gotcha.

I'm open to either day although I'd like to get it confirmed soon since I'm also meeting with other people when in town. Time I guess would be right after G2E closes doe the day. As far as location, I'm OK with deciding in a brief meeting while at G2E.

    Thread bump.

Since there’s been no additional discussion about it, I’m gonna assume that dinner & gaming is locked for Wednesday after the show.

    6:00ish. Location TBA.

    Note regarding covid:

G2E requires everyone to be fully vaxed and are accepting a photo of the proof. I assume that means a photo on the phone is acceptable.

Based on the CURRENT Southern Nevada Health District guidelines, everyone is required to wear a mask. That may change - if the SNHD changes things.

That’s right. Vaxed AND masked. 😕

    More info:
    https://www.globalgamingexpo.com/en-us/health-and-safety.html

For the record, although I’m fully vaxed, I’m getting tested a couple days before I leave home. So, hope to be there! 😁

Those are still right around those rates. But plans changed for me.

Yesterday, for shits & giggles, I logged into my Mlife account just to see.

I got free rooms all over town, although not all are giving me the same number of nights.

I booked Mirage for two nights for $0 plus $39 resort fee plus tax - and it includes $50 food credit per night!

So…… Any chance we can do the meetup dinner at Mirage? 😁

    Also, who is going?

So far it looks like just Mike and me.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. Covid sucks!

Per your previous request, I'll send a PM about dinner, but if it's OK, I'm planning on asking two non-WoV people to join us. One is a gambling podcast host, the other is a friend who retired and moved from NJ to Vegas towards the end of March of 2020. That's right. In the middle of the "Three Week Lockdown", she moved cross country.

I'm pretty sure both would be eager to play waitress trivia. 😁

Isn’t the SG Customer appreciation party for, um, you know, customers?

Like, isn’t it private / invite only?

In the video, Roger says “contact your account executive”…
