That payable is 98.9131%

You can check any machine here:

https://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/analyzer/

Just pick the game (this is standard vp), the variation (deuces) , then plug in the values you listed or any other.

(Corrected - grabbed the wrong stat).
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Recommended: teach a man to fish. Wizardofodds.com. Top left corner is drop down menu for game calculators, pick video poker, then deuces wild, then punch it in. Will take about as long as starting a thread and asking the question, will get the answer faster.

98.9% referred to as airport deuces, why I don’t know I’m sure there’s probably a history lesson there.

Yeah, last time I was in McCarran, their paytables were not nearly that generous! :)

I've also seen this called "Illinois Deuces." Now, I can vouch that I have seen a DW machine with this paytable in a Joliet casino!

But yeah, I have no idea where either name came from.

I think about 15 years ago you could probably find them in the airport. Twenty five years ago you could find full pay deuces in most casinos because IGT didn't get the math right. They thought they were putting out a machine with a 1% hold.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

I will repeat a story told years ago on Ken Smith's old forum. Some people doubted it then, others supported it.
Goes like this.
Everyone "knew" that airport slots were horrible, meant only for tourists, so it was a surprise that in the days after September 11th, 2001, that people went to the airport to play them. Turned out some of the machines weren't as bad as thought, with one dueces game being better than the game offered in most places.
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction is supposed to make sense.

Grosjean mentions about there having been a 10/6 jacks machine (I think that was 10/6, it was a +ev jacks or better game) at McCarren once upon a time in his book.

This game actually originated at the Four Queens in LV in the early 90s but only used 4 quarters and the royal still paid 4000 (1000 for 1).
This bank of eight machines (Called "Four Pays More") alternated between this game and 9-6 Jacks with the same rule on royals and at 100.07% was a better play.

The game you show has showed up at a number of IL casinos. In Joliet it was at Empress (Now Hollywood Joliet) when they first opened.

What do the numbers stand for in JoB? So the 9-6 or 8-5, etc.
The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; but that is the way to bet.

Full house and flush payout (on a for-1 basis).
