Who came up with the "brilliant" idea of making every machine in Silver Sevens a "static $1199"? Omg, they screwed that place up. Fond memories of Terrible's. We never had it so good.

Ok, I just looked it up, and answered my own question. Affinity Gaming. That explains. So many geniuses.

And while I'm on the rag, I see they just took down the 3-line 9-7 Double Bonus Progressives that have been at Orleans forever. Swell move, Suits, like you never made any profit off THOSE very popular games.

The future of video poker. 7-5 Bonus, and Airport Deuces. (what airport?)

And on a lighter note, I see Jerry's Nugget has made the Dirty Dining List, with rats, and "multi-generational cockroaches directly contaminating food", (quote / unquote), verbatim, google it on the news if you don't believe me.

But we always knew that "Jerry's" cared so much about their customers.

Omg, "multi-generational", lmao.

Rant continued:

How can I put this delicately? The once crappy but quaint Poker Palace, used to have some good vp. Some REALLY good stuff. Perhaps the neighborhood finally got to them, it is now a total wasteland, casino AND neighborhood. Even the 9-5 DDB progressive that had two different sides to it, now it's 6-5, with one side. Absolutely nothing at Poker Palace. RIP. :-(

Stopped at the old Barcelona. Another sad case. I think one bank of 9-6-5 DB progressives for dollars. Didn't check meter. So there might be some hope, but as the sign clearly says on their front door, NO GUNS ALLOWED. (nice touch)

Walked to the gas station from there, young and healthy looking deadbeat sitting on the curb, says to me, "Can I have a dollar?" I answered, "A DOLLAR?!" And continued to the store. Got my Pepsi and walked back out, the guy says, "Can I have a dollar?" I said, "What's wrong, don't you recognize me? You just asked me that two minutes ago." The guy says, "Yeah, but you didn't give me an answer." So I say, "Did I give you a dollar?" He just stares at me. I say, "There's your answer".

So many uses for the adjective "multi-generational"

- multi-generational nerds
- multi-generational losers
- multi-generational events (like weddings and Thanksgiving dinners)
- multi-generational facilities (like hospitals that have back-up generators)
- multi-generational patterns and number sequences

I think I've just scratched the surface

I saw a story from Vegas yesterday, some old guy and his wife were complaining about all the bunnies. lol The camera zeroed in on the yard, sure enough, bunnies, all over the place. So cute. Anyway, they said that years ago a neighbor raised bunnies to feed his snakes, and had since moved. But the bunnies stayed. Destroying everyone's lawns. I don't see what the problem is. They're adorable.

Holy cow... When I was a kid, the neighbor raised bunnies... Not rabbits, bunnies... Like the floppy eared couldn't blend into a forest if they tried bunnies. Well, they got out and they were all over. Occasionally in the mornings, you'd find what was left of bunnies after the coyotes or bobcats or whatever came through at night. It was traumatic... I was 9 I think... It was about the same time I got my first bb gun. Mom stepped outside one Sunday afternoon to a back yard full of dead birds.... That was directly related to me having a bb gun. Naturally, that gun was taken from me as punishment for my blatant disregard for living things. The funny thing is I got that bb gun back when I was 30ish... My 7 year old son is now learning to shoot with that same bb gun.

Hopefully this counts as a rant.

I had a similar thought in Vegas, never saw a squirrel. Wondered if they're around anywhere, which animals I'd think common have been able to move to the desert off the backs of humans.

I remember watching one in a parking lot while I was eating something. Maybe it was after I got back, but I can't bring it up in my brain right now. I went to Anthem for the first time, it seems really nice up there. It was still cool and a beautiful day. Maybe that's where I saw the squirrel.

with all these rants does anyone still wonder why people are less likely to want long flights, gropes and lines at the airports when they can just go to a nearby casino if they want to have a good time.

Terrible's was great. Always with the good giveaways and promos. Jacks or better all over the place. Double Royals on Saturdays. 5X points, earn a room in minutes. They had real progressives, many times going above $2000, even $3000. I was very surprised to recently see what a lousy inventory they now have. 1199 on everything, but really crummy inventory. It's just that 10 years ago that place was always packed, when it was Terrible's. I doubt if it's even close to being popular now. It was a very fun place before. Oh well, nothing stays the same. I guess they made their own poor decisions. Like Primm.

I was just thinking, they used to have a big round bank of 4-way 9-6 DDB for dollars, good meter, it was always popular. Right in the middle of the floor, over near the cage. That was fun. Gone now.

And they used to have a lot of gas cards, I just remembered that too. Heck, they had all those gas stations, guess they still have that. It was a happy place, better than Disneyland.

Because it's Vegas baby! Playing at a local casino just depresses the hell out of me. You know most people are blowing their rent money. At least in Vegas, there are tourists who are happy to be there in the beginning, and depressed as hell by the time they leave because they lost double their bankroll by paying the $10 ATM fees to get more money out.

Wait until at least October. That's when our expanded liquor laws take effect. And I think we're voting on marijuana later this year, too. And we just passed legal roulette and craps, but that will take a while to be implemented, I'm sure.

So, yeah, just give it a year or two for maximum fun times in Oklahoma.

When I lived in Oklahoma, my local casino had Class II and Class III slot machines. My favorite Class II machine was Crazy Cherry 25c bet 3. Cheap and fun to play, though I never did win the jackpot of 10,000 quarters.
